Warpath vs Gladiator(figuratively speaking??)

I need a base body for a superhero custom im planning out,but im not sure which to use,so thought id ask the people who know!!!

Iv been looking at Gladiator and Warpath as potential candidates,so.....which is the better body?? (As in taller, more muscled, etc)

Fortune 10-22-2011 03:57 AM

I think warpaths is but dont hold me to that.

thechris 10-22-2011 04:02 AM

Use Gladiator. Warpath's body has a belt on it that you'd have to cut off.

omega145 10-22-2011 04:02 AM

I'll take a look at both later and even take some close up comparison pics for you when I get a chance.

Ah mate that would be insanely awesome of ya!! Thanks for that!!!

Blood 10-22-2011 04:38 AM

you should use gladiator, the body doesn't have too much to dremel out and in warpaths case you'll need to work the wrists and remove belts

bmorr 10-22-2011 04:41 AM

depends on what your trying to custom. An MU Superman?

KingLouie731 10-22-2011 05:30 AM

I'd say gladiator if for no other reason than he is crazy easy to come by while I have yet to see a single Warpath in the wild

BTW I'm debating customizing my own Martian Manhunter from a Gladiator body

+1

Other newer alternatives with the same base....Thuderbird (GS XMen pack), Dark Spiderman (Venom), Sentry

But I'd definitely go with Gladiator as he is the easiest to find now.

Fedup23 10-22-2011 07:51 AM

If you just need a base figure then Definitely go with Gladiator he is widely available and cheap.

BBTS actually has Gladiator for $4 right now..if you get a few or pick up some other stuff to compensate for shipping its a great deal.

tlasjr 10-22-2011 08:17 AM

Cyclops He hasd the same frame but I think he has the added neck joint which is need to look forward in flying poses.

CLASSIFIED 10-22-2011 08:29 AM

Gladiator.

M3T4L V1KING 10-22-2011 10:16 AM

Gladiator. The cape is easily removable and I've seen a few people use that as the base of there customs already.

Spacemafia 10-22-2011 10:21 AM

Arent they the same mold?

Oooooooo dude you ARE soooooooooo close!! Im actually going to try to do Bizarro.......but he's gonna be a cyborg........a dirty rusty dieselpunk-ish cyborg,he's for an OC toyverse im working on,so im thinking Warpaths X belt wouldnt be a deal breaker (i like to squeeze in little homages to other stuff i like) but hes been severely spanked by Gladiator in the poll so im not sure!!!

BigHanksCustoms 10-22-2011 11:44 AM

Very cool idea! I'd grab Gladiator over Warpath, I believe he'll be easier to find, though the bodies are comparable. Look into modding the neck for in flight "head up" position like Tlasjr mentioned. Any clue on the head? And if you're going all "steampunk/cyberpunk/cyborg Superman style Bizarro maybe look at some Colossus and Cable arms/hands for a techy/Borg look. Come to think of it, a Cable or Colossus head would be cool too.

I'm using a Gladiator body and Guardian head as a base for a MU style Batman.

FancyPants 10-22-2011 11:59 AM

I think gladiator has a great body. He's got the newer moldings. Warpath seems a big bulkier. Who are you trying to make?

CLASSIFIED 10-22-2011 01:48 PM

Gladiator would kick Warpath's ass six ways from Sunday!

He's way more powerful than Warpath could ever hope to be.

Well my plan is to get a cyborg head sculpted especially for the job because i want him to look like a 6inch Bizarro i saw(cant remember which line, but he was kinda zombie-ish looking with a really pissed off snarling face??)until i get the head sorted,i dont wanna put time into a body i cant finish.......but at the same time i wanna get as much of the planning/gathering of parts done as is humanly possible.....

FancyPants 10-22-2011 02:34 PM

If you can get a cheap robot thor, his head parts would be pretty nice.

gunzilla 10-22-2011 03:49 PM

They have the same mold if you want flesh colored arms go with warpath also his wrist bands are removable by taking off hands giving you extra accessories if needed

They use the same buck introduced w doc samson. Also used on Cap Brit v1, The wrecking crew (except wrecker) and absorbing man.
