Giant LEGO man washes up on Florida beach

I just thought this was particularly awesome. Enjoy.

Another Lego man washing up on some beach? This time on the other side of the Atlantic. It's unbelievable. It's also hilarious yet somewhat frightening.

The news story mentioned that it had happened before, but where are these giant LEGO people coming from? It can't be easy to create an 8 foot tall LEGO man and just chuck it into the ocean like that. Plus, I'm surprised something that massive would even float. This has me pretty intrigued.

I remember seeing the headline on Yahoo's home page and it said "questions arise."

No, really?

Darkspeed 10-27-2011 12:25 PM

Not quite as fun as a giant squid, but still made me chuckle... This supposed to be part of some viral campaign?

Reaver Strike 10-27-2011 01:14 PM

I saw this story earlier. I think someone is doing it similar to putting a letter in a bottle and tossing that into the ocean.

The lego man is like 100x the cost of a letter in a bottle. I think this is a message from LegoLand saying we need more paying customers. If I was the first person to find that, It would of been coming home with me!

Im a bit shocked legoland hasnt went belly up yet. I havent been in years. But yeah this is funny stuff.

Honestly where else could they of come from? It'd cost 1000's to make 1 in your own garage and doubt it'd look this legit, I have the feeling they came from Legoland or were stolen from Legoland.

One thing for sure is wherever it came from it was put there on purpose.

Hmmmm could a giant Legoman have travelled back in time, and been struck by a certain luxury passenger liner??

bmorr 10-27-2011 02:59 PM

hahah, these reminds me of the beginning of 2001 a space odyssey with the monolith. all the apes staring in wonder

DogFashionDisco 10-27-2011 11:00 PM

I found out pretty quickly that it was done by a guy calling himself Ego Leonard.

Here is a post I left on his site (under medium-idea.com). Send him a message.
