Best DC Villian

Who is your favorite and why?

CLASSIFIED 10-26-2011 06:52 PM

Darkseid because Jack Kirby created him.

D00MTR0N 10-26-2011 06:55 PM

lol,very good my friend \M/

DogFashionDisco 10-26-2011 07:34 PM

The Joker. An obvious answer, but he represents everything great about archenemies.

xhavoc86 10-26-2011 07:34 PM

Hard to say...most of the Villains I like from DC play both sides of the fence like Catwoman...

...I guess Lex Luthor or Ra's al Ghul.

D00MTR0N 10-26-2011 07:39 PM

bane and lex are a close second.

Good choice, I'd say Batman's entire rogue's gallery is worth a mention.

hrothgars 10-26-2011 08:52 PM

Owlman, Joker, and Ras are all cool, but I've always liked Black Adam best.

quipp209 10-26-2011 09:10 PM

Darksied ... the why is there is something about a guy who just comes of godly n he is just awsome

Greenskar 10-26-2011 09:34 PM

Sinestro because he's got that Magneto appeal, meaning he is a villain who isn't necessarily all bad, just uses extreme methods to achieve what he perceives to be "justice". This makes for great character interaction and raises plenty of ethical questions that may sometimes leave a reader questioning their own resolve with respect to the situation.

Joker is my favorite DC villain. But as far as best villain in DC goes, I would probably say Darkseid. He's basically DC's version of a cross between Thanos and Apocalypse.

thechris 10-27-2011 08:55 AM

Best villain or my favourite villain? Favourite villain is a tough call. It's a toss up between the Joker and the Great White Shark. Best villain is a toss up between Alexander Luthor, Jr. and Superboy Prime. Alexander Luthor, Jr. pulled the biggest fast one on the entire DC multiverse and Superboy Prime was just a complete nutjob accidentally decapitating Pantha and then going totally insane throwing a huge hissy fit.

Crazy Jetty 10-27-2011 10:09 AM

I don't know if I can narrow it down to just one or two, like I can Marvel.

Characters like Darkseid personally bore me.

I'm more for Sinestro (Big surprise, coming from the GL freak)- For the exact same reasons Greenskar mentioned.
Harley Quinn- because she's fun and cute, and someone you really start to pull for. FORGET ABOUT JOKER, HONEY!
Black Adam- I dunno. There's something that draws me to him. Honestly don't know why. One reason I guess is because he has genuine respect for Captain Marvel.
The Secret Six- Have to mention the group because every member is on my list, thanks to this book.

For obvious reasons, The Joker, but for a less obvious reason, Scarecrow. Scarecrow works at the very heart of Batman and exposes Batman's weakness, which is his fear. Fears such as what his parents(although dead) might think of his duality, what if he goes too far and actually kills someone, losing yet another Robin to the hands of a maniac. Scarecrow picks Batman apart at his core, yet he never gets the respect he deserves. He's alot more dangerous than people give him credit for.

Scarecrow uses fear against Batman but doesn't understand what Batman fears, just the concept that everyone fears something. Also, Batman thrives on fear, it is what makes him strong, both when using fear against his opponents and when trying to understand why he dons the cowl.

That is exactly what I was thinking

Jackieboy 06-08-2012 06:03 PM

he was not a mainstay villain by all accounts but he was a personal favourite of mine,Deacon Blackfire>>>Batman:the cult.
other than him probably Mr mxlpyxlyx, black adam and superboyprime,
pre retcon doomsday gets an honourable mention.

tlasjr 06-08-2012 06:27 PM

My personal favorite is Major Zod from Smallville. I think best is a matter of opinion. Hal Jordan has to be up there though.

snake5289 06-08-2012 08:12 PM

Wow this is a toughie. Let's see some of mine are:

Grodd - I love gorillas but gorillas on their own can be extremely dangerous. Now throw in he's a super gorilla with extreme intelligence and can control you mind. Easy pick.

Two-Face - He's my favorite Batman villain and I love the duality of him. He's still got the law and order personality of a DA but he HAS to leave it up to the coin. The psychology behind his character alone makes for a fascinating villain.

Darksied - First of all he was created by the legend known as Jack Kirby. Second he's a freaking god. The power he has alone makes him awesome.

Solomon Grundy - It might be because I love zombie lore but background has always appealed to me. I love a good story with Grundy involved. "Solomon Grundy...born on a Monday..."

So there's a few. Sorry I couldn't just pick one.

Not a villain.

Anywho,

I really like Black Adam, he has that cocky attitude to him. He does flop from good guy to bad guy but I always remember him as a bad guy, or a good guy doing bad things for the good of Kahndaq and his family. I find him to be pretty complex.

Second would be Sinestro. Feeds off of fear, fell from grace, leader of the Sinestro Corps. Just badass.

Third would be Joker. Chaos chaos chaos, just for the joy of it.

Fourth would be Professor Zoom. Time travels, twisted sociopath. Just read Flashpoint, just tells you how crazy he is =3.

Greenskar 06-08-2012 09:03 PM

Lmao...didn't realize I already voted and almost reposted
