Orange Lantern (Agent Orange) Lex Luthor

I bought Ornage Lantern Lex Luthor and noticed some things are well Weird. He is an Update on Kryptonite Chaos Lex Luthor. But is it me or does the Agent Orange on seems a bit like a Bobble Head. Where the Upper Body connects to the middle Torso seems to move extremely freely. Is there actually a way to stop this?

Saint Phe 10-29-2011 07:44 AM

I got one last night and have the same problem. I'm thinking about putting a dot of hot glue into his back. It'll keep the joint from functioning, but that's okay by me.

thechris 10-29-2011 08:03 AM

Got the same thing. I managed to fix mine by putting some clear epoxy in there, waiting for it to harden for a few minutes and then wriggle it free. It's now very stiff but moves well.

CMIII 10-29-2011 08:19 AM

thanks this was disappointing considering it is made from the same mold as Kryptonite Chaos Lex

Crazy Jetty 10-29-2011 12:25 PM

I didn't have a problem like that with mine. But the tiny little tubes snap off if you look at them funny.

Actually I think it was a similar mold, but not exact. Remember the new one has different (yet equally weak tubing) but the top portion at least has the Orange Lantern emblem and a tweaked design. At the very least, the top half is different.

He's about 50% new/retool. His legs are exactly the same, and I think his arms are too. Not sure about his crotch. But his chest is all new, his skirt is all new, and dispite being sculpted with the EXACT SAME EXPRESSION, I'm ninty percent sure his head is a new sculpt (smaller details don't seem to line up).

Man if they made a non-orange lantern version of Lex with the same mold I would be all over that. Perhaps this would happen with the new DC All Star line coming up? Hmm? Perhaps...

Upon a closer look his Eye Brows and Eyes are different (Eye color is Different)

Mattel has never been one to let a mold go to waste.

Well I'm convinced it's going to happen now.

Im sure we will see a normal lex and scarecrow in the future. Just too good for them to pass up. Just like hals black lantern head sculpt works perfect for a red lantern hal. We will get it.

thechris 11-13-2011 02:40 AM

Isn't Kryptonite Chaos Lex Luthor essentially already this? ie: the Orange Lantern Lex Luthor in non-Orange Lantern form? ie: Lex in his LexCorp Suit? I mean in his Orange Lantern form, it's always just been a LexCorp Suit lantern construct hasn't it?

CMIII 11-13-2011 07:24 AM

the regular Lex came out in the Gotham City 5 pack

That was the Challenge of the Superfriends Lex. He's talking about a LexCorp Suit Lex without the clear orange plastic (or so I understand).

And you understand correctly. A LexCorp Suit Lex without the clear orange plastic is exactly what I'm talking about.

Cool yeah, check out the Kryptonite Chaos Lex Luthor. It's pretty awesome and cheap, too.

That's the one from the 2 pack with Supergirl right? If so, I've been trying to find that one but never found one. Never found the MOTUC vs DCUC Lex Luthor & Skeletor pack either. So I'm hoping they'll just release a new single carded Lex with the new All-star line, plus I think it would be pretty cool if they used the Orange Latern mold because it isn't identical to the Krptonite Chaos mold.

Crazy Jetty 11-13-2011 02:41 PM

Forget a regular version of the orange powersuit, forget the superfriends shlock... quite simply I'd give my right kidney for a simple, regular. NORMAL Lex Luthor, wearing a business suit.

On the other hand, there *is* comedic value to the thought of having Orange Lantern Luthor sitting behind a desk. doing paperwork.
More hilarous would be if he had an expression more suiting to an Orange Lantern Luthor (Like the DCD version)

CMIII 11-13-2011 04:56 PM

Check on Ebay you can pick up two pack figures solo there. I have seen the LuthorCorp version with Skeletor at both Toys R Us near me

There is an easy head swap possibility: http://www.toyark.com/dc-universe-cl...25/#post186333

(although the Dark Knight Harvey Dent figure is a tad short. He fits better with DCSH Supes than any of the DCUC figures)

Isn't that body a little short though?

He is a bit vertically challenged. :)

Here's a photo next to DCSH Supes:

Vertically challenged is an understatement lol

Actually, with Lex, he's portrayed in many different sizes. This isn't too far off from some incarnations of Lex. The JLU one many of us are used to is far more buffed up and shares more or less the same body type as Supes or at least Jon Stewart. Clancy Brown AKA the Kurgan doing his voice further enhanced this. Then you get the wimpier looking incarnations like the one on the Superman Doomsday movie. The Harvey Dent body model wouldn't be too far off from this comic book version:

http://robot6.comicbookresources.com...cover-cmyk.jpg

Although he's also seen much more hulking here:

http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/4...uper_super.jpg

It's really down to the artist's rendering. I'd really be happy with just about any suited Lex at this point but would obviously like it to be close to what has already been released so I suppose Dent's body is out of the question. Sure we can look up their actual heights that DC or their artists have decided to post online but hell, when are these ever set in stone anyway? I've got a comic book cover where the Hulk is twice as tall as Spider-man yet show the Marvel card that shows the Hulk as being over 11 ft tall. lol.
