My collection thread is here: http://www.toyark.com/call-primative...lection-35050/

Over the last couple of years I've done quite a few little customising projects but I've never actually really shown them off so thought would post a few pictures.

I would just like to say a big thank you to Jin Saotome (Jin Saotome's Dangerous Toys! Custom action figures, Marvel Legends, Transformers,GI Joe, guides), his guidance on materials and his tutorials are great. I particularly recommend the articulated transformer hands tutorial!

So this is my Classics Sunstorm (nothing too revolutionary), Classics Buzzsaw (that Real Gear mold is really under rated), cartoon coloured NECA Turtles (they're awesome but I was a huge fan of the cartoon as a kid)

Universe Vector Prime - my effort at making the toy look a bit more like the photoshopped picture on the box rather than a frankly poo coloured Transformer!

Bludgeon, I'm not that big a fan of Movie style Transformers and the recent HeadRobots upgrade didn't quite do it for me so I made my own Marvel comic inspired head (it's just a resin copy of MOTU Skeletor).

Nick Fury with cigar.

Hearts of Steel Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker, I love the idea of the Hearts of Steel comics (Steampunk asthetic), and I really like the old fashioned alt modes. Master Creations have done a great job with Prime, Shockwave (Cyclops) looks awesome so with Movie Ransack I thought I'd make some HOS Seekers. They need some faction stickers.

So when Terradive was released in the Hunt for the Decepticon line I knew I had to shoehorn him into my Classics collection somehow, since he's orange I decided to get several and make them into minions of Unicron. I call them Hook, Line and Sinker! It's a great mold if you don't have one.

The project I have spent most time on (I started about 4 or 5 years ago) was Metroplex. An old housemate donated a load of Transformers to me including a broken and yellowed Metroplex missing most of his accessories including his chest ramp.

I set about picking up replacement parts on eBay, I won a particularly good auction which was the chest ramp and Metroplex's lower half (a substancially less yellowed set). I got him a set of reprolabels and he was looking a lot better. He did still have a broken waist however.

My first attempt to fix him was to use a bit of wood and screws which also gave him a bit more height. From a distance it didn't look too bad, but really it was crap. I later discovered Jin's site as well as Hobby Link Japan and then I was set to do a better job.

I decided to make a series of upgrades which (apart from fixing the waist) were removable if I wanted to return him to his original self. I gave him knees, swivel thighs, elbows, wrists, articulated hands (thanks again Jin!), a slightly shorter waist (with the longer legs the long waist looked out of proportion) as well a neck and ball jointed head.

Look out Trypticon! http://www.toyark.com/attachments/95...icture_104.jpg

When I first started collecting Transformers 8 years I bought a job lot of KO combiners, suffice to say they were a bit rubbish and I got rid of them all, however, I gave the Terrorcons to a mate who thought they were pretty cool.

They sat on his shelves since then and got covered in dust and yellowed a bit. He decided he didn't want them anymore and so gave them all back except Hun-Gurrr, it seemed a shame to throw them out so I decided to try and improve them a bit.

A couple of them had their colours the wrong way round so I had to paint them anyway, but I decided I needed to make them a bit more worthy of the name Terrorcons. All of them actually have molded eyes but since they don't have paint apps you'd barely notice. A couple of them have teeth, but again you'd barely notice. My aim was to make them look just a bit more vicious, give them sharp teeth and claws so they might look a bit more terrifying and make them look a bit more like their MTMTE Dreamwave entries.

I gave them all new limbs on ball joints, I wasn't aiming to give them super articulation so I left the rest of them as they were. Also, I don't intend to transform them so am not worried about the extra kibble they all now possess.

Thanks very much although I was aiming for Fenris Wolf from the Thor comics (an Asgardian creature), so no Azog!!!

(In particular the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes version.)
