will we see 3.75 inch Batman figures...
Just what it says, will we see em?? Has the poor performance of the DCIH line killed any chance of us seeing kick-ass versions of the Dark Knight in my favourite scale???
I wouldnt rule it out but unless they can get MU or Joe articulation they are in trouble.
hopefully they song carpet bomb the toy isles with crap like green lantern did. if they are doing a 4" line for the new batman movie, it probably the same sculpt over articulation they seem to love.....
Would love to see them follow the 3 3/4 model Marvel uses for movies:
Movie series and Comic series within the same line. And get some damn articulation already, 1977 Kenner Star Wars figures are laughing at you DC..... |
Yeah they definitely need to step up their game articulation-wise,its a shame because some of the DCIH figures are really nice looking, but too damn basic!! I just want a badass Movie version Bane, then maybe a decent Joker too!!
Some folks are all about the Microman Batman, but I actually prefer the last DCIH version.
I was really tempted today when my TRU had the Batman/Robin Young Justice set in a spot marked accidentally at 12.99--that's still too much for figures with that limited articulation. |
I wouldnt mind,no I would actually love a 3 3/4 scale bane movie figure but know we will get stuck with a 6" line.
I'm sure somewhere there are mattel scientists hard at work trying to figure out where they can remove another point of articulation.
Actually I was just looking at the 3 3/4 inch figures I picked up from dark knight. Same old articulation, batman looks good, the joker was a little too kid friendly though. A little strange now that I think about it, they clearly made the joker to look like a kid friendly version of the Heath Ledger portrayal. If they thought his role was too dark for kids why make it look like him at all? They've either already seen it or they wont need it to look like him. |
We'll get stuck with a 6' line for sure. And Proteus, I'm pretty sure DCIH and GL killed their 3.75' line. It's funny because the DCIH just started to get good before they got discontinued... and then GL came out and those failed hard.

Yes, I think we will.
I expect that we will find out either way at Toyfair and that is the second week of February.
We also started some discussion on this in the mattel license deal news thread; WB and Mattel Extend Licensing Deal - Toy Discussion at Toyark.com |

for the dark knight rises possibly , but not sure
For The Dark Knight Rises definitely. I have liked to have seen the first appearance Batman from the DC Infinite Heroes line released
Mattel needs to put out some decent 3.75" DC figures.
I'd absolutely love it if we got a decent 3.75 inch Batman line. Hopefully The Dark Knight Rises will have a good one, and it won't just be scaled down versions of the generic 5 inch line. If they even do a 5 inch line for this movie. They usually do for Batman though, for TDK it was 3.75 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch(movie masters scale) I expect more of the same for the new movie.
