Fantastic Four #600 *SPOILERS*
So I went to Hastings today and saw FF #600 on the shelf and though I don't normally keep up with FF I had read the issue several months back where Johnny Storm died holding off the forces of Annihilus, and found it a pretty damn good read.
http://geek-news.mtv.com/wp-content/...7_preview1.jpg So reading online elsewhere that there was going to be something BIG going on in #600, so I decided to keep an eye out for it. *SPOILERS DISCUSSION STARTS, SERIOUSLY TURN BACK NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT THINGS SPOILED FOR YOU*...everyone gone??... Ok then, so I won't go into too much graphic detail for those who have not read it yet but basically...Johnny Storm is back from the dead. And the quick rundown is that basically, Johnny did indeed "die" facing off against Annihilus Horde. But instead of staying dead, Annihilus had Johnny resurrected via "worms" that sewed him back together. Annihilus then had Johnny fight in arena battles against his strongest warriors (dying several more times) with the worms reviving him each time. And in between fights, Johnny meets several Inhumans (the Light Brigade) who have been imprisoned and subjected to the same process (btw, I really want a cool figure of the horse-looking alien Blackflame (?) that he teams up with, as well as the sweet looking new outfit Johnny gets.) Now, usually I am pretty vehemently against constantly bringing characters back from the dead. But in this case, I don't mind the explanation for his return. And to be honest it actually makes me interested in reading FF from this point forward to see how Johnny re-adjusts to the world after being gone. But fellow Arkers and comic readers, if/when you get the chance to read this issue, whats your opinion on this Resurrection? Love it? Hate It? Johnny should have stayed dead? *SPOILERS END* |
Just had to put in my box. Can't wait to pick it up and from your description not bad, kind of like the resurrection of Colossus with Outworld.

is Doom mentioned or in it?
|
Is that him dressed like Spiderman at the end?

it was only a matter of time... lol

Not going to lie...this is kind of lame. Ok I lied, it is VERY lame. In the issue when Johnny died, you don't really see him DIE, just get swarmed. Would of been better if he didn't die and was just captured then turned into a badass or something...maybe in a YEAR OR TWO. Crying out loud marvel...

I really should have taken more pics. :) |
I think I need to find this comic..
|
I wish that if a character is killed off that he/she stays deceased. What's the point if they always come back...

Steefy, you may want to make it a smaller picture, the mods will get rid of it when they see it :(

Not impressed. Damn it! </3.

No idea, but the writers screwed the pooch on the BEST superhero family EVER.
|
Is it bad at this point that I no longer feel anything when a comic book character dies? They just keep throwing these "deaths" at us to try and shock us, but it hasn't been a month since Thor bit the dust... And we all know that's not gonna stick again! ^^;
So yeah, had to put it as Don't Care here, but I do at least like the reasoning behind his resurrection and what it could mean for his character development. I shall have to give the issue a scrutinizing eye later! ;) |
Read when he died, that meant nothing. Now that he's alive, still means nothing. Honestly don't care about the character at all.
|
i know the topic is johnny personally i wished he would have stayed dead, but how often done that happen in comics. which reminds me, is sentry back? any my major question is that spiderman....WHO KILLS? i need to know what book that is. must have it
|
bringing him back this soon is dumb, perod,I mean how is this going to play into the FF story arc?
|
I find it odd that people think he "died". To me all the Marvel characters "assumed" he "died".
There was no proof besides his uniform being found. I mean he can go supernova so he logically could have survived that pic above. |
