McQuarrie Concept Figures

hey does anyone know where I may be able to find a complete list ofStar Wars McQuarrie Concept Figures? I see them individually and in box sets, but there seems to be various waves?

BigHanksCustoms 12-08-2011 04:33 PM

I have a bunch of them. I don't know the full list but I do have:

Boba Fett
Darth Vader
Han Solo
Starkiller
Storm Trooper
Chewbaca

I know there was a C3p0, never saw him

I have a bunch on bad cards if you like to open them, PM me and we can maybe trade.

AndyCR75 12-08-2011 04:48 PM

thanks man, but im looking for MOC.

BigHanksCustoms 12-08-2011 04:52 PM

Yeah, no problems. I had them super minty but some how the box I had them stored in got fubar'd. I also have a Commander McQuarie fogure too, but he might not even be part of the Concept line........

CLASSIFIED 12-08-2011 04:53 PM

I bought the 2 box sets for my son and he hates them.

of course he does! they're horrific! but thats what makes them beautiful.

CLASSIFIED 12-08-2011 07:50 PM

I don't like them either.

AndyCR75 12-09-2011 01:46 PM

I want them. The Han is so hideous its a must-own.

Optimus Vader 12-09-2011 02:36 PM

I like them too. After reading so many stories, and seeing documentaries, on the making of Star Wars I thought it was cool to see the concept figures made. Not that this is a big help, but I believe they were first made in the 30th Anniversary Line (they come with a coin) a few years ago as single releases and then I'm sure the inevitable repacking in whatever they called the line the following year. Not much help, but that's all I got.

I picked up the Vader and Deak (Luke) figures and can't remember if I ever found him, but I remember being after that whacky looking Chewy figure.

D00MTR0N 12-09-2011 02:40 PM

they were released a year or so ago as a try exclusive ,there were 2 sets.

edit:didnt read the entire post :/

see that it right there. Its the whole..."this is what C3PO may have looked like" factor which makes them so cool. We've all grown to know and love the characters as we know them, but to think, this COULD have been them. (And thank God it wasn't a blonde puffy-haired, headband wearing, cape rocking Han Solo. That just would have been sooo wrong.)

I have a couple Chewies, on bad cards. I'd be happy to trade with you if interested.

Some of the cool things about the Concept series are:

Starkiller (Changed to Luke Skywalker) was a female
Han Solo's face is Gearge Lucas

I was just reviewing mine since this conversation came up, saw trhat I had both a concept Stormtrooper as well as snowtrooper.

Shin Densetsu 12-10-2011 06:05 PM

I love the character designs behind some of these, but dislike some of the figures. They came at a time when Star Wars figures weren't always fully articulated but full articulation was starting to be used more frequently.

Boba Fett was a complete PITA to find but I was determined to find him. Fortunately, eventually I did find him. Constant trips to Walmart, and one day I saw him near an end cap towards the back.

Vader is cool too but he has those damn cut elbows instead of hinge/swivel.

AndyCR75 12-11-2011 03:00 PM

Vader and Chewie down. Rest to come. I cant believe Im sitting here selling off my Marvel lot only to pick up McQuarrie concept SW figures. smh!

AndyCR75 12-11-2011 08:04 PM

And now Han and Stormtrooper. yay! (why am I excited?)

AndyCR75 12-12-2011 09:38 AM

Luke Skywalker with bizarre gas mask.

Because the acquisition process of collection is more fun than actually owning the stuff? In a lot of cases, that's what does it for me. I'm bored with MU at the moment, only because there's nothing that's out that I need,... so I go and buy other crap.

AndyCR75 12-12-2011 07:49 PM

3PO and R2.

red5ive 12-13-2011 02:31 AM

I have all McQuarrie's :) And also the Ki-Adi Mundi and the other Snowtrooper concept :) No luck with Concept Anakin, though :(

BigHanksCustoms 12-16-2011 12:12 AM

Dug my McQuarrie's out due to this thread, the cards aren't nearly as bad as I remembered. Actually they are pretty good (tossed in my General McQuarrie to pay tribute!):
