Revoltech Enki

I'm a little disappointed that Enkidudu will not be a widespread release, but Enki and Enkidu will have to keep me occupied until I can get my hands on one. The Gurren Lagann Revoltechs have been wonderful, and Enki is a top-notch figure.

At least Enkidu, who got more screentime than the others and appeared during most of the good parts, is still a mass-release figure. But it doesn't make Enkidudu's exclusivity any better...

I'm ashamed to not have any Gurren-Lagann Revoltechs! :( I haven't bought Revoltechs period since New Getter 1 disappointed me! As in, first Revoltech ever New Getter 1! That's a lot of stuff to miss out on. Always been meaning to get back into the line and I never do!

You should be ashamed! It is one of the best action figure lines ever made. :)

Shin Densetsu 11-24-2008 04:04 PM

I watched Gurenn Lagann initially but stopped after the first 2 episodes, I had no idea how HUGE it would become til I saw so many fans of it at Otakon! GOOD LORD that show got freaking HUGE in such a short time span! The episodes I watched when it first came out were enjoyable, I just ended up losing track since I had to stay focused on school and whatnot. I want to pick up the subtitled DVDs eventually, and the revoltech figures look excellent, especially Enki. I love how Kaiyodo squeezed in many of the popular mecha from that show into the Revoltech line, their designs lend themselves to dynamic posing.

Come again? :P

I know, I know. Earlier on, I could understand why I didn't go for it, when half of them were EVAs and the accessories were more sparse.

Although not my figure but my brother's, I was also incredibly let down by Mazinkaiser, who should have had no excuse to even remotely suck. But his arms and shoulders were a mess and he couldn't do much of anything worthwhile without collapsing.

Ultra Magnus, also his, remains the only shining example from the line that I've held in person. It was also sweet that he ended up getting the original release with the extra joints, and for non-crazy prices before the reissue was announced.

Awww.

Back to Enki, how is that Lagann head accessory supposed to be used? Does it just get stuck onto the Gurren-Lagann figure?

PS. Moar smilies plz, someone.

Well, the gold crest GL has is actually Enki's broken helmet. So when GL first met Enki, GL had a helmet-less head. So that way they can fight without causing the space-time continuum to rip.

If that figure was a piece of music, it would undoubtedly be my groove

Gainax effect, dude. :D

But yeah, Enki's a sweet figure. I'm still not on Enkidu yet...probably will get it if I make some more cash flow but for now he's down the priority list. >.<

Speaking of Gainax, I LOVE Gunbuster.

Enki looks awesome, honestly, I find the design more striking than both Lazengaan, and Gurenn.

Sol Fury 11-25-2008 11:18 AM

Enki is awesome. The swords make him look extremely cool. My Enkidu is on its way, I'll post a few pics once I get him.

I'm sure I've said this already and will say it a lot until I manage to do it, but I'd love to get ahold of the Enkidudu. That Black Overman looked cool too.
