I was wondering the same thing myself.

They mentioned Toy Fair too...

It seems kind of silly to invest in and unveil 30th anniversary artwork for a collector line that probably wants vintage style packaging any way.

Do you think we'll see a new retail line?

trebleshot 12-22-2011 10:14 AM

Looks really good. Wouldn't mind having that Cat Fight image on a t-shirt.

I agree. I wonder if they'll do 30th Anniversary reissues of some of the old toys? When Hasbro did their Commemorative Reissues, they used Dreamwave artwork for the packaging instead of the original box art. Maybe we'll even see a few of the MOTUC figures, only single-packed and possibly as exclusives.

I suppose a new line may be on the horizon, but Mattel has said in the past that there's not enough interest from the retailers to support one. Maybe with the anniversary coming, that has changed?

Deefuzz 12-22-2011 11:02 AM

Looks real good. Although I have given up on the subscription crap from Mattel, I may cherry pick a few figures throughout the year.

Most notably: Thunder Punch He-Man

Glad they have the Filmation rights now, but damn I want a movie style Skeletor figure!

Solrac333 12-22-2011 11:47 AM

AWESOME! Now THAT is He-man. Make the next cartoon look like that. :D

Definitely! And maybe a 1:1 of the key. How awesome would that be with the sounds and lights.

denali33x 12-23-2011 09:18 PM

D00MTR0N 12-23-2011 09:20 PM

MegsTriggerMan 12-27-2011 11:00 AM

as far as Ram man Toy guru mentioned a while back that he would not be in the 2012 line up ... :( so we continue to wait

cobracobra 03-14-2012 08:03 PM

You mean Gwildor from the movie? I hated that thing. He was like a movie substitution for Orko.
