What actors should be what marvel characters?
Just a random thread of who you'd like to see playing various marvel heroes. And maybe even what kind of delivery for said movie/series. Direct to dvd, theater, channel, etc and why. Your picks, opinions on others picks, you know, the basic rundown.
Anyway, I guess I'll go first. X-23/Laura Mckinney played by Selena Gomez. She's got the look, the skintone, all that's missing is the eye color. But she could wear green or gray contacts to fix that easily, or they could just stick to the brown eyes she has. She's a dead ringer for X-23 in her mini-series days, and while the character isn't popular enough as yet for her own theater run movie. Why not Lifetime network? A controversial story of child abuse, mad scientists, and what genetics could do. All the while cashing in on one of the more well known marvel characters heritages. A perfect fit for lifetime network who also ran Blood Ties as a series not too long ago. Heck, maybe we'd get lucky and it could be a mini-series event with a figure line tie-in from the MU scale. The wolvie accessory molds could get reused even. With Disney as it is, she's already proven capable of handling a wide range of roles, from the Tom Girl, to the Princess, to even a wizard. One can only hope Hasbro has taken notice of her talents even to talk Bay into using her as a live action Sari in the Transformers franchise. While not the same emotional depth as X-23, it would give us an inkling of how well she could pull off the diverse female protagonist role models from all walks of life in Scifi. (Plus Sari's katars in armored form help convey the same look to expect in an X-23 flick/series. And her current role as Alex Russo does convey the attitude for Both Laura & Sari.) Black Cat/Felicia Hardy played by Laura Harris. Sure, maybe not for the Spidey flicks, as we'd need a slightly younger platinum blonde for that, but what about Marvel Divas? Why not a Desperate Housewifes like spin on the superhero genre using black cat, and her friends as depicted in the current mini-series, but expanded to cover all their trials and tribbulations of superhero-dom as they got older and reflecting back with flashbacks or what not, or even kicking butt while balancing their lives in modern day? Sexy in the city with superheroes indeed. Hey, it worked for entourage just changing it from women in new york to actors in hollywood, so why not superheroes? ABC needs something to combat Heroes. Another perfect excuse for a figure line tie-in, and for once we could have one of all females only. xD Could even help hasbro maybe start a girls line in that vein. Laura Harris has proven her skills from playing a Grim Reaper in dead like me, to even a scientist and astronaut in defying gravity. That's all I can think of for now. Anyone's thoughts on these? Or their own ideas for Marvel and hollywood? |
Kiele Sanchez as Rogue If you saw A Perfect Getaway this year you would know why I think she is perfect for the part, I really mean PERFECT!!! Anna ain't got NOTHING on her.
