Question About the Gears of War 3 Figures
 

I was surfing the net looking at the Gears 3 toys and came across a Gears Of War 3 Series 2 Damon Baird VARIANT CHASE Figure Gold Lancer figure. where the Gold lancer figures in circulation? or were they exclusive to a store like target, toys r us?

I think it is a legit variant. I know Anya comes with a Pink Zebra stripe one. Don't know if the gold lancer is a TRU or Target Variant though, but it shouldn't be.

I am assuming that there is a variant per series.

How do the Variant figures work? Do they come random in factory case?

I think only a limited few were made I've seen a few knocking around on Ebay though, and I think the packaging is still the same as the regular GOW3 figures.
