Mom's Basement

What kind of toys do you have tucked away in Mom's basement?

I imagine your collection there is much different than the collection at your house.

How long do you plan on taking up Mom's space and when are you going to get around to cleaning out her basement?

Enquiring minds want to know, I want to know.

Dagger 01-08-2012 06:19 PM

I have zero collection in Mom's Basement. One because they don't have a basement, but two because once I got married I resolved to make sure I have nothing of mine at their house. I don't think it's right to waste my parents space.

Nomad 01-09-2012 03:28 PM

Hahahah, great topic.

I suppose everything (including myself) is currently in "Mom's basement", but for the sake of staying true to the intent, there's quite a bit in the storage room too. I'm actually in the process of going through it this week to see what's worth keeping & what's worth giving away, but yeah. It's gonna be rough when I move hah. That's where I keep all of my boxes & shit, too.

Peteparker 01-09-2012 03:38 PM

Why are you so interested in my Mom's basement? It's awfully musty down there...

Parents have no basement, and I've got my own family. All my stuff's in my attic. ;)

Shawn Woodbeck 01-09-2012 03:41 PM

Nothings at my parents. I built a walk-in closet and all my stuff is in it.

I have some wrestling action figures in mom's basement. The old Hasbro guys and some bone crunching wrestlers, as well as some WCW Toy Biz guys.

My mommy loves me, and doesn't mind that I have some of my stuff there.

Exodus 01-09-2012 04:16 PM

My stuff's split in 4 different places! Aunt, God-Parents, my place and my Fiance's :P

I live in my mom's basement, so my collection is still down here. Granted, I'm 19 and going to school still... when I leave, though, the Hot Wheels, Legos and Micro Machines stay. She wants them here for the various nieces and nephews, and then the grandkids once my sister and I get to that stage in life. All my figures go with me though.

We keep me and my brother in Mom's basement.

lol I have 90% of my "collection(crap)" in my house. Mom's basement is more like Dads basement cuz mom made me take all my shit from her house. Dad how ever has the goods. All my 80-90s GI Joes, 80-90s transformers, Exosquad, power rangers... all at dads... including my wayne manor which I want to grab sooo bad but if i do I know he will make me take EVERYTHING haha

Ha-Ha Thank you thank you, you know it baby!!! In case one place goes up in flames or what, (Knock on Wood) I still have another place with my goodies. Although I may have to consolidate :(

Crazy Jetty 01-09-2012 08:21 PM

Nothing! Neither my parents, nor I have a basement.

I want to visit your dad's basement.

trebleshot 01-11-2012 09:53 AM

Everything that I had kept in my parents' basement (including myself) moved with me, except for a few boxes that are now in the storage space above their garage (the attic stops before it gets to the garage). A lot of what's left is garage sale material, which is why it stays with them. It's hard to have a garage sale when you live in an apartment complex and have no garage.

All the stuff that came with me is now in my basement.

No basement since i'm in california, but a storage shed out back behind my parents house contains 3 different sets of McFarlane KISS figures, and like the first 3 to 4 waves of SPAWN figures. also some little scenes that McFarlane put out with like a frankenstine scene, a dracula scene, and a wherewolfe scene. Some of my childhood GI Joes, and about 200 pez dispensers.

Man! I love EXO Squad! I have been trying to find some for sale, but they are all pretty high priced. I think those are some of my top favorite toys of all time. Way ahead of their time. for a toy made to actually play with as opposed to collect they are the simply fantastic. I was hopeing toys would get better, but thats not the case, I'm sad for kids today, because modern toys are pretty much lame. I wish they would re release EXO Squad like they did with the retro star wars toys. It was a shame they never finished the cartoon series either. :(
