Best 6 in. Catwoman figure?

Hey fellas, what is the best 6 in. Catwoman figure out there right now?

Ravenxl7 01-20-2012 10:46 PM

Personally, if I was going to get a Catwoman figure, I would probably get the one that just came out in the Batman Legacy line. I love the classic look, and she would go great with the Mr. Freeze figure I already have. Only thing she needs is a whip.

If I were to consider future releases, the Arkham City figure looks really good. Only negative is that it's in a 2-pack with a Batman figure I'm not really interested in. Also, there's the inevitable TDKR Movie Master Catwoman which should be nice....at least I hope anyways, lol.

Yeah definitely getting the Legacy Catwoman figure (my favourite version) but most people like the S&M slut tramp bondage whore Catwoman usually with goggles or the leather fetish stitches and mask covers the top portion of the face. You can get the black one of that outfit from the DC Superheroes line and then they rereleased her in purple (which I find more tolerable) in a DC Universe Classics 5 pack.

dc direct Hush catwoman

I think I'd like the purple version of her DCSH representation a little more, I get that she is supposed to be attractive and all, but the bondage thing is a little much (except in Batman Returns, thank you Michelle Pheifer).

Ah, nostalgia.

Just remembered. If you're willing to wait a bit, and wouldn't mind shelling out a lot for it, Hot Toys will inevitably be releasing an ubber detailed and large figure of Pheifer's Catwoman. I have to admit that I'm actually kind of tempted by the thought. However if Mattel could ever get the rights to do so, I would prefer a DCUC scaled version of her, and may other characters from the four old movies.

I might, the only thing stopping me is the price tag. I'm trying to pin down the perfect 6 inch version of Catwoman though, I've been tossing around the idea of building up my Rogues Gallery and I need to pick the best one so I can keep an eye out for it. What better way to do that than to ask an entire community of toy enthusiasts?

Crazy Jetty 01-21-2012 02:16 AM

I don't know. I think Kenner had a nice one in Total Justice, if memory serves me.
I'm pretty sure most of the DCD releases are off the wall (If only they were in scale with DCUC).
Dispite not really having a need for it, or it being a practical outfit for Catwoman to wear, I do like that golden age version coming out in Legacy.

Though if I were to choose one, it'd be the DCSH "Modern" Catwoman. If I could ever get it.

iLegends73 01-21-2012 04:20 AM

i'd say the repainted catwoman from the gotham 5 pack a few years back. thats the one i been looking at lately. just cant have a rouges gallery without her, clayface, penguin and mr. freeze IMO

ToyAddict 01-21-2012 07:45 AM

You've got to first ask yourself which version of Catwoman is "your" Catwoman. Classic -- purple outfit with green cape; Arkham City; black leather; purple outfit; . . . Once you answer that we can help point you to a DC Direct or DCUC figure.

For me, it's black leather. That's what she wore in the era I was reading comics, and of course Michelle Pfieffer. So the one I own is the DCSH version.

Might pick me up a Dark Knight Rises Movie Master if they have one. Not much of a fan of Anne Hathaway though. . .we'll see how the movie goes.

kenm2474 01-21-2012 12:38 PM

Right now nothing. I have 1 of the DCSH and 1 of the Gotham City 5 pack Catwoman that I painted Black and now cant tell the difference between the 2.

That's because it's a straight repaint. The differences are the DCSH one came with more accessories, black outfit, and had different color skin tone under her goggles vs. the rest of her face. The Gotham City 5 one only came with a whip, wears a mostly purple outfit, and has consistent-color face paint.

I get what you're saying, but I'm on the fence about this. I think I might just use the HUSH version of Catwoman.

The articulation is terrible, but I'm planning on displaying her in this pose anyway, so that isn't an automatic deal breaker for me. Anyone know of another good representation of this version? it represents her well, and it isn't too over the top with the fetish and boob nonsense.

ToyAddict 01-21-2012 01:33 PM

Here's some of what I can think of that's available. Maybe just search for them in Google or eBay and you can decide:

DC Universe Classics Gotham City 5
DC Superheroes
DC Direct Knightfall
DC Direct Long Halloween
DC Direct Hush
DC Direct Silver Age (box set with Penguin)
SDCC "The Batman" cartoon version
Kenner Legends of Batman (though I don't think this would end up on the short list of "best" figures)
Legends of the Dark Knight
Yamato
Kia Asamiya (not sure of scale?)
DC Direct Arkham City
Batman Legacy

Can anyone think of any others?

Just that or the expensive DCSH one. Or maybe the brand new DC Direct Arkham City one.

I know all that. Been doing this a long time now. I was just saying after I painted her black you can no longer tell the difference between the 2

atomicsmurf 01-22-2012 10:29 AM

I really like the Hush Catwoman. The legs look a bit long, but overall she's nicely done. Got two of her moc. :) Still can't bring myself to part with one. lol

My bad. . .I read right past the part where you said you painted it black.

RexLewis85 01-22-2012 07:03 PM

I'd definitely hold out for the AC Catwoman...I think its her best look

Tiberius 01-22-2012 07:10 PM

I love her look too, but I personally want to try to keep my DCUC figures all...less modern like I guess.

I know what you mean, but I'm making exceptions here and there. I prefer my DCD Joker over the DCUC one (although I still have the DCUC MOC one that my buddy gave to me as a b-day gift). I'm also 100% sure that I want the upcoming DCD Mr. Freeze, but as far as Catwoman I think the DCD one looks a little odd.

Tiberius 01-22-2012 07:54 PM

Reminds me that I still need to get myself a Joker figure haha.
