TRU WTF Price Increase
 

So I walked into TRU yesterday in a futile attempt to look for new figures from an unrelated toyline when I saw a new Star Wars display. Oh wait, new packaging, Darth Maul printings, new battle packs, Pod Racer vehicles and new Clone Wars figures!

Cool right?

Starfighter Class vehicles(you know the ones that are medium size...the ones that are $24.99 @Target/Walmart), were $27.99 and are now up to $32.99 @TRU.

Clone Wars figures are now $9.99.

Vintage figures are still $9.99, but who knows how long that will last.

Star Wars Class 1 Transformers are $9.99.

Sometimes TRU has bogo sales so it is worth it to wait and buy these items later. I don't think any of these new Star Wars toys will be hard to find months from now.

It's not just Star Wars either, the new Prime RID line is as follows:

Deluxe- $14.99
Voyager- $26.99

Almost $30 for a voyager.

toysrus has always been the most expense. always.

Its not just TRU. Target went up, as did Wal-Mart. Lord only knows where CVS and Walgreens will go with their prices now!

Agreed TRU was always higher, that's why Target/Walmart was great, now it's flipped.

Walked inTRU today wanted to pick up some of the new line.ONly a few figures I did but like anything they will be on sale.discounted..etc...down the road...I saw the prices on these and i'm thinking "I was complaining about the prices of the MU line"..Just hope it doesnt get any worse.

yeah i went today to toysrus and found hundreds of the new figs. theyre never gonna move because of the 10 dollar price tag.

Agreed. The only good thing about the price is that it now makes the vintage collection not seem more expensive just for different card, now they're the same price.

Just went there earlier this evening and most things have gone up in price since the last time I was there. It does make it a little easier to pick up some of the older toys, but really hard to justify getting newer stuff when I can simply wait a little longer and get it at Walmart or Target and save a few bucks.

I thought I saw some Mounties on the way home tonight. Still don't know why that guy was on the highway with a horse, though. ;)
