Nice. I'm glad they decided to release those Mechs. Ultamates Thor will be mine. One of the cap figs has a great vest and belt. Hawkeye is meh. Others are an easy pass my wallet thanks you.

FancyPants 01-27-2012 12:54 PM

The joints look weird on those guys. Wonder how the articulation is?

ze0ro 01-27-2012 01:04 PM

$10.99 each for the 3.75" figures? Ouch. I think I'll pass until a sale comes around.

miketime....I am super pumped about the mechs too. I was super disappointed they did not get a release in the Iron Man 2 Waves. Ultimate Thor is a must, but I think the Hawkeye looks really good. Thought it was a pretty good likeness to Ultimate Hawkeye.

fancypants.....I have not heard great things about the articulation, but I think it will all be conjecture until we get an "in hand" review.

Not sure where you are located ze0ro, but I believe those are Canadian prices.

Yeah, that's pretty rough.. and they're movie line figures. I hope kids really like those big shooting cannon guns they keep ramming down our throats, because those things are getting bigger and dumber.

You're right. Someone posted some links last night and I didn't realize it was the Canadian version.

Mastersteef 01-27-2012 01:28 PM

Hmm...Ultimate Hawkeye looks ok, I hope that he has a waist swivel at the very least...(really don't understand why Hasbro took out the waist/torso swivel on all the Avengers figures I've seen so far...)

..But "Sword Spike Thor"...really Hasbro?... the same figure from the Thor line (which is still on shelves!) that is pegwarming like crazy, with "less" articulation and a bigger, unecessary weapon?...do you hate us 3 3/4" collectors Hasbro?...what did we ever do to you?...

PS: also just noticed that the box shot, doesn't even match up with the FIGURE IN THE GODAMN PACKAGE. O-o

This pretty much sums up my exact thoughts as well. I hope they still come out with the War Machine mech.

Exodus 01-27-2012 01:36 PM

It's funny how they can add a bunch of accessories for the movie line, and yet take away the stands from the comic line. Sadness =(

AndyCR75 01-27-2012 01:49 PM

(To the theme of Tom Petty) "Cause I'm peeeggggggg..pegggg war-min'"

sabretoothe 01-27-2012 02:37 PM

the cap mech is the war machine mech, just in that fantastic shade of blue. needless to say i'll be avoiding the 3 3/4" figures because of the major step back they took in articulation (wth hasbro?) but i'll be getting the mechs and the tank thing. so much potential for customizing with those.

I'm in Canada. My shock comes from the fact that these 3 3/4" figures just went up 10% in price. Perhaps I should wait until I see them on shelves before I scoff, though the new 2012 Star Wars figures also went up in price to $10.99 and they're almost exclusively repacks of old figures.

/futile complaint

Peteparker 01-27-2012 06:21 PM

Okay I'm sold on Ultimate Hawkeye and Ultimate Thor. The rest of these can sit on the shelf for me...

snake5289 01-27-2012 07:04 PM

Wow I'm so very disappointed. I was really looking forward to these.

Yup. Here's the post I made yesterday and the rest of the conversations about the figures. In case anyone's interested.

hopefully they will still make a war machine version later as a repaint I so dont want the cap version. as of now Im definitely getting the iron man one, the quinn jet looks promising depending on the size not wanting something too big and Im on the fences on the 3.75 figures the loss of articulation is a losing point with them.

Yea the War Machine version looked a lot better than the Cap one.

Noisemaze 01-28-2012 05:55 PM

The 2 jets & the tank are awesome. The rest is crap.
