Best mold of your favorite Hero/Villain...

Hi,

I'm kinda new to this and just wanted to see if we can just gather some helpful info for guys like me that are just starting to collect figures and would like to know which are the best molds (majority consensus) of your favorite characters...based on representation of the character, detail, articulation, basically, anything that might be important to say its the best of the best....from what I have gathered, DC Direct and Marvel Select seem to lead the pack with the highest detail and representation of the characters....but I also find some Marvel legends, for example, that are not that bad either...lol

Anyway, let me know what you guys think are the best of the best for your favorite figures (including line/series info/release year, etc.) and in doing so, you will help me out and many others that might be in the same situation...

thanks in advance

to start....from the little time I have collecting, the one that REALLY caught my eye was the Marvel Select Abomination and Marvel Select Hulk...I really dont see anything else that is so detailed and scaled nicely to fit with other lines...is this safe to say? lol....

at this point I'm still out in search for a nice superman figure....please, let me know what you guys consider is the best mold of him....and any other favorites of yours...

Superman Sixth Scale Figure - Sideshow Collectibles

Yeah, Hot toys seem to be the best but I cannot see myself throwing out hundreds of dollars on a couple of figures...Thas why i have setled for 6"-7" in scale molds.....much easier to get more....lol

I love the Hot Toys figures because they have so much detail and some of them literally look like the people they're modeled after, all the way down to their eye color. The major downside to that accuracy though is the price, and these things are very expensive. Now if you want to talk quality and affordability, the way to go is 3 3/4. They're small, inexpensive (most of the time, just don't buy a colored Vision) and look great on display. My major complaint about 3 3/4 scale though is that trying to collect them all is ridiculous because there are just too many. I used to think that was cool, but after a while I just ran out of room.
