Lego Marvel Super Heroes Captain America

I AM BUYING THESE

Paxtin 01-31-2012 09:56 PM

I like the Cap one, just for that head sculpt.

Boba Fettuccini 01-31-2012 09:57 PM

It's like Buzz Lightyear. But Captain America instead.

I'm surprised Lego HASN'T made a Buzz Lightyear like this! These are basically Marvel figures using Hero Factory parts. Almost sure they can be modular builds like the DC versions...where each part is swappable.

They did:

...Kinda. It looks like this was before they thought to put a couple elbow and knee joints into these sets.

I'm really not into these Heroes figures, the Marvel and DC ones are both kind of lame. I think they will do well with kids though, but the issue I have is that if kids get them than the pieces are going to disappear fast. With LEGO sets you can change stuff around and lose bricks, but the kid wouldn't care at all. Now with this thing, losing too many bricks will make the toy useless. Oh well.

That one is mainly a brick construction set though, the Hero Factory figures all use ball joints and internal frames. For the brick-figures like the Creator robot, Buzz Lightyear and others, the articulation is limited. I would've bought Buzz had he had elbow and knee joints though.

Actually I like my Batman one a lot. The pieces stay on well, there are no bricks at all with these figures. They are all modular parts that attach via ball joints, and some with pegs and none of mine have ever been loose.

I'm definitely going to pick up Wolverine when he gets released, but not so sure about these three. Maybe Hulk as a counterpoint to Wolverine.

I'm banking on this idea because I want to take HF Batman, combine it with HF Wolverine and add a little paint to make HF Dark Claw. :)

(Which reminds me, I still need to pick up Batman at some point).
