I have picked up up a few issues of the title from the seventies from when he was fighting Thanos and the Avengers. I am thinking of buying the other five books in the series. Is it worth picking up the other books?

Very worthwhile- you can get these big reprint issues with like four issues in one for a buck or two each.

But if you want the really great stuff, you have to get Adam Warlock- same writer (Starlin) but he also does the art and it's really amazing looking.

I have a chance to get the first appearence of Warlock as Him. Is this worth a read?
