6" modern Avengers advice
 

So I've begun a quest, since the return of ML, to collect figures from the upcoming DCU All-Stars line and ML to put together a display of the New 52 Justice League (once all are eventually released) and a Modern Avengers team.

New 52 JL is pretty straight forward...but Avengers shuffle their roster around so much that I decided to go with the following roster, although I wanted to consult my fellow Arkers on thier thoughts on who should fill the 7th slot as well as the quintessential Hulk to include:

Captain America- Face Off Captain America or Bucky Cap? (leaning towards Face Off cap)
Iron Man- Extremis
Thor- Modern
Hawkeye- Hoping for a New Mold in his current Secret Avengers threads
Black Widow- from the Winter Soldier TRU two pack (black costume)
Hulk- not sure about this one. thinking maybe the recent from Valkerie two pack
?

Also since I currently do not have the Face Off Cap and will most likely ebay him, if there is anyone on Toyark who has the face off two pack unopened or both figs loose from there and is interested in a straight up trade for a ML Deadpool/Warpath variant pack hit me up (please note the two pack is the variant, x-men costume deadpool and non-X-force warpath)

Seriously, stumped with 7th slot to fit this roster. Any thoughts?

hawkeye when he has been relased from the movie the avengers most modern
and i would go for bucky cap to be most modern

7 should be tied with antman and wasp.

Ant man I'd consider but was never a fan of wasp. She's classic for sure but not modern for my taste.

Hmmm...I have the marvel select hulk...but I really feel like he's Wayyy too out of scale for what i want. I will experiment with the select Hulk and see how it looks. Then I'll post and let you guys give the feedback

Personally, I think you need ML Captain Marvel as the 7th. He was a big thing back in the day...so I hear [only read comics to do with his son] and personally, he has such a big legacy that I think spot 7 should go to him.

Until a ML bleeding edge armor gets released, Extremis will stand in (Its my favorite armor anyway). May use the classic Hawkeye until an updated one is released too.

But since I hear Captain Marvel "might" get ressurected or some incarnation of him may return to the Marvel Universe...then maybe I will include him.

You know, using Ant-Man and Wasp from the MU line would work awesome with Legends. I also dislike the new Hawkeye costume.. It actually isn't bad in THAT picture, but damn Barton, lose the damn glasses.

Oh and for the Hulk question. If you can get yourself a ML 2pack Hulk from the Leader pack...get that one. That Hulk is the only one anyone every needs in that scale.

I have been looking for some figures for a similar goal. Some are just too pricey though. Face off Cap especially. I hope with the new US Agent mold we get a new Cap sooner than later. I love CmdrSteve and BuckyCap but would like a nice classic SteveCap as well. Hawkeye is also annoyingly expensive.

Damn you may have just made me change my mind away from the two pack Valkerie/Hulk figure that used the Rulk BAF mold and head sculpt based off of the ED Mcginnis artwork. I did like that the Rulk mold had two fists though.

You could also do Wolverine, Black panther or even Falcon

Personally buy the ML goliath figure and you'll get antman and wasp with him, all 3 great avengers. I do agree on the MS green hulk he kicks the ass out of almost all ML hulks. yellowjacket, quicksilver,shehulk, ironfist, all good figures to add just saying.

Ya know, out of all the different versions of Spidey's, this is the only one i know nothing about. What's the deal with him?

Yeah I actually considered the Heroic age Avengers to go along side New 52 JL.

Thor
Iron Man
Wolverine
Spiderman
Spider woman
Protector

But as far as I know there isn't a Protector figure that exists yet...right?

And do you guys think that lineup matches up better with the new 52 JL than the other lineup I had going?

I want to assemble an avengers as well, I personally have a ton of ironman so check, I want ML baf giantman, blackpanther,hawkeye,faceoff cap, ml 2 pack black widow blacksuit, and goliath with the wasp/antman figures. would be epic! but I find avengers figures to be a tad pricey unless in a lot, or loose "sometimes!" aside from that once the movie hits, scalpers will be jacking the prices up... great.

just wanted to chime in, im doing something similar ( although not restricting to just 7) i think the nemesis wave beast is a gooder, or storm? my 2 cents

You just made a damn good point. I'm snatching up face off cap and widow at the moment. Hawkeye and hulk to follow.

I've never seen that beast in hand and pics have been hit or miss for me. I love the BAF Giant Man, Symbiote has him and he looks awesome. Don't know if I'll invest though with everything else to get still.

Definitely no need to limit yourself to 7 at all. I'm only doing it to be even with the 7 new 52 JL roster.

I have absolutely no idea, but I think he looks pretty interesting and different while still very clearly being Spidey. It would be a unique looking team and have a lot of pretty colors though.

..or maybe the Snakes on a Plane Fury.

Dude! I swear that was my first thought too. I'm sure it was intentional though and I'm actually tempted to get New 52 JL #1 and the Avengers issue in question and put them behind my display teams. Matter of fact, it's decided. That is what I'll do.

I only own series 1 Hulk and got him cheap so it is ok haha. Glad you got the Hulk though man, so awesome. As for Alex Ross JL, yea, I am planning on it. Only need Batman and Wonder Woman now.

Dude I can't wait to see that display! Are you going to try and pose them close together like the poster or do your own poses?

Well, for now it will be "whatever fits". But I will be taking pictures to mimic the Alex Ross Avengers picture. Sadly, I do not own Scarlet Witch or Black Panther for legends. However I think I will get Witch today though.
