Planet of the Apes (new movies + classics)
Hasbro's new Star Trek figures made me think - what next? What sci-fi franchise likewise has a successful new line of movies? Enter the PotA. Director Rupert Wyatt "Quite exciting. I can think of all sorts of sequels, this is just the beginning." A version of the spaceship Icarus from the 1968 PotA film is featured in the new film as a hint to sequels.
With Star Trek's Mego figures in 1974, PotA also debuted, as its 1st attempt at movie-based toys. Today, both franchises are back. Yet one still needs toys. Once sequels show fantastical costumed apes, spaceships, playsets - toys is a must. For now, this thread will be about the classic toys. And also, possible new movie toys, you'd like to see, in the more furturistic sci-fi sequels. http://cdn-www.mania.com/content_pic...e792_large.jpg |
I like to see these at 3.75 inches tall, great detail, and many accessories.
