Shout! Factory acquires Saban Rights
 

Just found out that Shout Factory (the company that resently released Beast Wars, Reboot, and Jem and the holograms on DVD) has now required the rights to Saban shows.

"The multi-year alliance provides Shout! Factory with exclusive home entertainment packaged media (DVD/Blu-ray) and select digital rights to Saban Brands' extensive catalog of properties including more than 700 episodes of Power Rangers (1993- 2009), 92 episodes of VR Troopers, 26 episodes of Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, and 88 episodes of Beetleborgs for home entertainment releases and digital distribution across select entertainment platforms in North America."


I cannot find the info on the Shout Factory website itself but it is posted all over the net.

Couldn't care less about the other stuff, but I *reeeeeeeeally* really really really hope this means Digimon!

With Saban now in league with Nickolodeon I'd hoped that Digimon Xros Wars would get brought over, but that doesn't seem like it's in the cards.
So at least it'd be nice to see Adventure and Tamers get a full DVD release.

OMG I forgot about DIGIMON! I still have seasons 1 - 5 loaded on my harddrive that is connected to my PS3. I would love to have them on DVD. OMG!

I still get chills when watching the first Movie when padamon gets hit by Diaboromon, then Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon get sent in! OMG chills! Im such a NERD.

If this is the case, I hope this means we get a RiD set!

I wonder if they'll break down Power Rangers and release them in single season installments or take the first couple of seasons and release them as a boxed set (a la "the complete Dino Thunder series").

Too bad the only one I'd really want to own right now is Samurai and it started in 2011.
