Have you seen these??

Not sure if a post is already here i did look and didn't see any...Anyway I walked into Family Dollar and saw these Marvel Universe figures I mean the Avengers line has more articulation then these lol.Kinda embarrasing they would throw these figures into this line.Only 3 figures Iron Man,Spider-Man and Captain America.I am a completionist lol so I had to pick them up for 5.00 a pop.

Those are awful. Almost look like throwbacks or classics. I don't even.. no. Not even remotely interested. But grats! :P

DogFashionDisco 03-13-2012 03:33 PM

You paid $5 each for those? Why in the world would you do that?

MGTAJ 03-13-2012 03:37 PM

Someone did post it in the Appreciation Thread, although who it was currently escapes me. I like the idea of lower priced figs for lower-income families, no kid should be denied a cap/spidey or stark fig simply due to the current prices

Sure, for a $1 or $2, otherwise you might as well just buy the regular figures.

Starscream99 03-13-2012 03:41 PM

Does the Cap shield come off?

wolverine2281 03-13-2012 04:32 PM

Yep been posted before. Those are the only 3 figures in that set. I believe they are figures from the vehicles, hence the severe lack of articulation.
Spider-man- "I got your articulation right here!"

NoodleChow 03-13-2012 06:39 PM

yeah those definitely feel like the pack ins from the vehicles. cap's shield is prolly the only useful thing i'd imagine haha

shortysben 03-13-2012 06:44 PM

Well, do they count as MU figures? Are the completist's out there going to be picking these up?

I know some that already have...(not me :))

redx24 03-13-2012 08:21 PM

repaints of the irom man could be IM knock offs for whichever stark u prefer to fight them. still not for me

Rattrap Primal 03-13-2012 08:37 PM

family dollar makes big lots look like sears

FrankCastle 03-14-2012 12:36 AM

I just saw these today and LOL'd at them. It confuses me though because they actually sell the real MU figs for $8 so not sure why they would waste the plastic and paper to even card these horrible things.

so wait is that a good thing or not? Sears has been closing a number of stores so it is hard to tell if you are going for insult or compliment

As others mentioned, it was posted in the Appreciation thread (by PeteParker, IIRC), but no one made a separate thread for them until now.

Personally, I don't think they're worth $5.00. But I know what that completionist OCD can do to one's wallet.

I wouldn't count them in my collection as they're smaller than regular MU, at least based on Pete's picks. Of course it's up to each of you to make that call.

Haha that's exactly what I was thinking..

Maybe replace it with Macy's? Anything that still owns a parade is big shit in my book. :P

Big Lot & Family Dollar are the same co.

itMFtis 03-14-2012 10:41 AM

What sort of shield is that? The kind that pegs on Cap's arm, or straps, or what?

Exodus 03-14-2012 11:39 AM

Whoa FD gets they're own line of MU's and yet we can't get that new wave in yet??

Ok thank you.

But I know what that completionist OCD can do to one's wallet.

LOL your telling me!

Travis King 03-14-2012 12:46 PM

I went looking for these whenver they were first posted on the Appreciation thread, and found bare pegs with pictures of these figures on them. I asked a clerk, who had no idea, I think i'm better off not adding these to my real deal collection anyways. they have no number or series on the back and they don't say exclusive on the box.
