There's a handful of completionists out there who are damn close to being 100%.

What are you all missing?

I'm mainly focused on MU, so that's what I'll refer to for myself:

I'm trying to acquire every 6'' figure made of Iron man, From marvel legends I need face off variant war machine and mandarin, and thorbuster variant Destroyer. Marvel Select I need stealth and cap suit variants, along with the movie figures. I also need some of the concept series movie figures such as gold mark 1, stealth iron monger, iron cap, and the iron man 3 pack that was released. After that I'm done, I want to make a nice hot toys collection some day, and a nice avengers collection. I have a deal in the works for a bunch of marvel icons, to help finish that collection. Next obsession once these are done will be hellboy and gremlins. I also try and keep up to date on IM figures, and try to be a completist with MU, but a lot of the time pick and chose figures based on interest and price.

i need wave 2 light ups and i dont think luke cage and black widow count seeing that only proto types that only employees can get and also she hulk kang and scarlet was on ebay a jerk posted them the box on one was messed up but he posted them, for 900$ starting bid his name on ebay is dvontu23 and i can prov that i have 3 von dooms and 3 x force archangles

nobody said anything about those figures or questioned you having multiple subscription figures, but anyway, welcome to the boards. That was one long ass sentence BTW

I'm wondering how many of the other completionists are completionists like you and I ;)

To the best of my knowledge, I have every Iron Man figure ever produced from any company (from Mego until now) with the exception of the HT Stark Mech Test, which I just don't like. I thought being an Iron Man completionist would be a lot cheaper than being a Transformers completionist, but Hot Toys has effectively foiled that plan. :)

Since this is a Marvel topic, I'll just list what's left for me to pick up in MU. A small caveat: I only collect the single pack releases (and open all of them) as part of the collection. Any others I've bought (like the Dark Spidey/Wolverine CP and soon BE/DD) have been simply because I wanted those figures.

It seems like a huge list to me, but I remember when I needed almost everything from series 1. Thanks Peter Parker, Optimus Vader, Boy Blue, and Solid Wii for the help getting me where I am.

I'm down to only a few to have a complete MOC collection of MU and I haven't been able to bring myself to pay the money it would take to get them. They are:

SDCC Galactus
Dark Galactus
Yellow and Blue Goliath Gigantic Battles pack
Light Blue Bullseye

At this point I don't think I will ever find an affordable way to be 100% complete.

The best way to get bunch of rare figures at once for a halfway decent price is a convention with someone selling a whole collection. That's how I got death arch, norm Osborn patriot, cable with hope, blade, yellow dragon iron fist, and
A bunch more. I spent over 3 bills, but totally worth it to pick up so many rare MOC figs.

Love your web format, wolvie. I revised my needs to include some of the ones you already have and still need.

No proof needed dude. If you say you have them, we believe you. This community is probably a lot more friendly than you're used to...

I know Shawn Woodbeck is a Canadian completionist like you and I. My first trade/transaction was to buy him the first set of TRU light-up stand figures, and I remember thinking he was crazy buying them all right away. Now I'd do the same thing if I found wave 2 of those, lol.

Some of those are still everywhere. Do you still feel that way?

That's how I feel about some of the ones I need. $40 for a matte red hulk? $75 for a 'baby included' packaging Hopeless Cable? Those just don't seem worth it. They're essentially mistakes, not super-cool variants...

Far from it. Except for Namor, I haven't seen any of the others for weeks now. I only saw Skaar once and thought "he's a pegwarmer for sure. No one's going to want him when they can get WW Hulk instead." You'd think I'd learn by now. :rolleyes

I should still be able to pick up Namor on my own, but I'm also wondering if I should wait until another revision case before I start looking at other options to fill those gaps in. A revision case helped me get Cable and the Skrull Soldier.

There really isn't a translucent Susan Richards. Somebody made the one that floats around online custom. The only official variant is the white FF uniforms. Peter Parker cleared that up for me.

false theres one coming out in june or july but she is all clear

^Your collection is very, very impressive. My MOC collection (my serious collection), does not have several of the series 1 figures and variants you have open. If you don't mind my inquiry, you do collect a few ficures MOC don't you? I that I saw some SDCC exclusives
