Interesting.

Exodus 04-16-2012 10:48 AM

Prefer the long haired one...kind of looks D...ish.

behindthemask 04-16-2012 10:51 AM

Stop making PeterParker cry!!

LapuLapu 04-16-2012 11:06 AM

Black Widow is getting so much love this year.

shortysben 04-16-2012 12:00 PM

wtf? that one you have looks nothing like the supposed "variant" version we have seen...

Dammit skrapps! :cry

Are you trying to make me stalk you, or what?

Thanks for the awesome pictures, however. I think she looks pretty hot that way. ;)

Now we need the short-blonde hair version, lol.

lol, im not sure a short blonde hair version was even made!

FancyPants 04-16-2012 01:14 PM

Sure this is a variant and not an error? If there's only two I mean.

bmorr 04-16-2012 01:17 PM

the bubble looks like its still formed to fit the long haired version. Also, it must be nice being a hasbro insider.

Not an available variant as much as a production testof a proposed variant. Still cool!

They could have product tested a body/head combo that didn't look so wonky. I never got her for a reason. The avengers light up stand one is awesometown though

Boba Fettuccini 04-16-2012 01:37 PM

This one looks like my ex. :(

skrapps 04-16-2012 01:39 PM

when i look at it and examine it, its almost as if they wanted to make a "Maria Hill" variant

FrankCastle 04-16-2012 01:45 PM

You sure you're not just handy with an exacto knife?? ;)

skrapps 04-16-2012 01:53 PM

positive! you cant get curves perfect with an exacto knife, it would leave sharp edges in the rubber hair, and sanding it would kind of shred it

FrankCastle 04-16-2012 02:12 PM

So you are saying you used a dremel? :)

A dremmel would have the same effect as sanding

Boba Fettuccini 04-16-2012 02:23 PM

it also wouldn't change the hair details.

Tiberius 04-16-2012 02:26 PM

Never heard of this variant, at all. I call poop.

snake5289 04-16-2012 02:27 PM

Looks good but I prefer the normal long hair version.

uberlad 04-16-2012 02:57 PM

if I remember correctly, when the figure was first announced, widow was supposed too come with multiple wigs. Maybe this was one of them.

I'm not trying to hate on the op (lucky b@#$#$#), but if a figure doesn't hit retail, its nothing more than a custom to me.
It's cool to see stuff like this though.

Peteparker 04-16-2012 03:10 PM

Offical Custom then?

Hard to call it a custom when it's produced by Hasbro, even if in a limited qty.

skrapps, take them to SDCC and see what you're offered for them. ;)

Getting tickets is impossible anyway. Maybe I'll just have to sneak in.
