Diamond Select Toys Reveals Loki's Army Select and Minimates Toys

Wanna know what's scary? Those minimates are more poseable than the 3.75" Avengers figures Hasbro crapped out.

Yes, I'm still upset.

BigHanksCustoms 04-18-2012 01:32 PM

They look cool, but opted for MegaBloks figures for my "minis" I wonder if they will do an avengers series for MegaBloks.

Although I have bought a few Minimates for the accessories to be used with MU scaled figs.

Any idea who - or what - Loki's army is? Obviously aliens, but they look more like playdough in armor. The armor doesn't appear to resemble any I'm familiar with in the Marvel Universe, unless I am just missing it.

FrankCastle 04-18-2012 02:22 PM

Wow I think I posted the Marvel Select news Saturday or Sunday??

The soldiers are the Chitauri (A.K.A. the ultimate version of the Skrull)

This doesnt much suprise me my first impression of MU was they are basically rushing Action figures to make money this results in not that good detail as well as articulation , but thats just me.

MU isn't what I'm talking about. Those have reasonable articulation with ankles, wrists, and a balljoint midsection. The new Avengers line completely lacks those plus the double-jointed knees and the recently improved 2-joint necks and "rocker" ankles. These minimates at least have waists.

I'm disappointed to say the very least.

Panthro1978 04-19-2012 12:28 AM

I love the minimates, but I'm not impressed with the MS Hawkeye at all.

behindthemask 04-19-2012 12:43 AM

I think Hawkeye is nothing compaired to Ultron, he's an abomination with those hip joints.

Alienweirdo 04-19-2012 01:18 AM

Dems some huge ass feet

Speaking of Abomination - off topic, sorry - his Marvel Select figure is fantastic.
