Posted this at Marvelous, figured there's too much MU love at Toyark not to give it a shot...

Alright, remember the SDCC 2009 Fan Poll? Let's do it. We'll keep with the anniversary theme and do 73. First 73 on this board make the final cut, so make good choices. Then we can vote for 6 we'd like to see as figures and see how much Hasbro loves us come SDCC.

More rules?

1.)Gotta post a pic. Only the costume you post counts. So if you post "X-Treme X-Men Bishop" people are ONLY voting for THAT version of the character, so again, choose wisely.

2.) Only 1 version per character makes the final 73. I say first come first serve, but we'll see how that goes...

3.) ONLY single carded, regular figures. Gigantic Battles, Masterworks, and deluxe-style figures do not count.

4.) NO remakes. I don't want this to turn into a debate about whether classic Magneto needs ankle rockers or that Moon Knight should be on the Cyclops body. Different costumes, or alternate universes or whatever is fine. Far more productive to emphasize figures that haven't been done, as that was the modus operandi for the original poll.

5.) In the interest of fairness, I'm gonna say no one can enter more than FIVE selections. Depending on the success of these shenanigans, however, we may need to change that. 73 is a pretty good amount. we'll play it by ear...

Lastly, don't hedge your bets and try and game the system. Be honest with your choices, despite what someone on some other interwebs said is coming out. If the character in question hasn't seen a proper retail release, it's fair game.

We're on the honor system, so be liberal as far as policing choices, compiling lists, etc, etc. cause I'm too lazy for all that mess. So let's get it on.

As an added bonus, slight retools will get us Sasquatch and Wndigo (much like ToyBiz did with the Marvel Legends figures)

My main figures I really want to see are the Kingpin/Wilson Fisk, Emma Frost, and Man-Spider.

One of my absolute favorite villains and one that should definitely get a MU figure.
A figure looking like this with a black suit variant would be awesome.


Considering how important to the X-Men Emma's become over the past few years I'm honestly surprised she hasn't been made yet. I've seen some really great looking customs on here so it can't be that hard for Hasbro to make one.
Knowing how many costume variations there are for her in the comics I'd have to go with this one with a diamond form variant.


The ML version from the first Spidey line that came with a comic way back when is one of my all-time favorite figures and I'd love a smaller counterpart. He's probably too big to do though.

This is completely an exercise in fandom futility. Hope I didn't give any impression to the contrary.

Like I said, I posted this at Marvelous, and suppose, could do the same at The Fwoosh and CTR and transmit the results to Hasbro... Though I don't imagine it would impact their plans one iota.

Really, the lack of figures has made the boards a little slow. This is just a sort of interactive wishlist. And doing it across multiple forums has already yielded some interesting results as far as selections go.

It's been a while since we polled characters, and I think it's always a good thing to look back on what Hasbro has released and consider what we might like to see in future waves.

And considering that the Marvel Universe line is a somewhat fan based line that seems to place some emphases on the less known characters of the Marvel Universe, I don't see why Hasbro wouldn't consider characters that showed up often in fan polls such as this. That being said I don't think Hasbro hangs on our whims, but as a marketing tool, site such as this should be seen as beneficial to some degree.

So my point is, lets keep on keeping on when it comes to our wants and interests, it can't hurt.
