The 'Evergreen' line Mattel have been prepping while there's no new show. First time I've seen that name though.

Edit: Also, that yellow batman. Erugh.

snake5289 05-05-2012 03:42 PM

Wow what's with the zero articulation. Seriously Mattel you canceled the craptastic Young Justice line for even crappier Batman figures. Good going fellas.

Crazy Jetty 05-05-2012 04:36 PM

If that Yellow batman got an individual release, I'd have to get it because the colors are stupidly awesome.

But I seriously can't understand Mattel's reluctance towards articulation. it's not like these things need 35 points of articulation, with three joints on each foot alone (Like some of the more rediculous Marvel Legends). Batman isn't super flexible like Spiderman.
But even as a kid, every figure I owned I felt needed basic articulation. At least the same articulation most of the oldschool Toybiz X-men figures (Like Wolverine II). Basic shoulder, basic elbow, basic T-Crotch, and basic knees.
I mean really, why is that so much to ask for?

snake5289 05-05-2012 05:42 PM

I know what you mean. If the smaller GL movie figures would have had elbow and knee joints I would have bought the entire line. I'm seriously starting to wonder if Mattel is run by a bunch of chimps or something.

I'm thinking Manatees over chimps.

These figures are so-so. It'll probably end up being like Brave and the Bold where it's just slow moving.

snake5289 05-05-2012 07:13 PM

I was going to say manatees but that's been done before.

redx24 05-05-2012 07:26 PM

like my teachers in school would say, so much potetial just wasted.

sabretoothe 05-05-2012 08:35 PM

unimpressive, most uminmpressive ;)

DogFashionDisco 05-05-2012 08:43 PM

Easy fellas, these will make fine Happy Meal toys one day.

raiden225005 05-26-2012 10:41 PM

I already posted these pics on tfw but I figured I'd share them here since there is a thread for them already. Now just to note these figures are no where near as bad as the movie toys but if you are coming at these expecting Universe quality then definitely don't buy.

Sweet I want that Batman

snake5289 05-26-2012 11:26 PM

Oh wow they actually have decent articulation. I'm definitely liking that normal Batman. Repaint it black and grey and it's a buy for me. The Robin's not half bad either.

There is a black and grey version of Batman in the line

The black and grey suit is part of the Mr Freeze mission wave. The blue suit came from the 2 face mission wave.

On a side note I'm really loving that the line is just barely coming out and there already is a joker, croc, freeze, robin, and 2 face figures. There are definitely a lot of batmans but they are making sure that they actually make other characters for the line. Also, you can't really tell from the pics but they also can swivel 360 at the waist.

Jlogano20 05-27-2012 08:49 AM

i saw these today at kmart i will probably pick up batman & robin

Thanks for the info fellas. Didn't know about all the villains they've already made.

Yeah one of the vehicles I bought came with a little collectors book that showed everything that was coming out including the new batmobile and the other 2 vehicles.

Give me a Nightwing and I'll buy it. Other than that, this line is ass.

snake5289 05-27-2012 11:36 AM

As long as the Nightwing is normal looking and not gimmicky I'd buy one on sight.

I like that Two-Face and Mr. Freeze. Saw the Batmobile while doing a Google search and it looks pretty sweet. Not a bad line considering it's for kids.

raiden225005 05-27-2012 10:29 PM

here are some pics of the batmobile and deluxe figures. The batmobile is awesome but the deluxe figures are just kinda meh. I knew they weren't very poseable but having a kicking batman with giant spinning saws attached to his leg was too ridiculous to pass on. As for the batmobile, the inside seems like it would be big enough to fit a Universe figure but I couldn't get the AC batman in due to the cape.

Heh I like the target practice standees and the Batmobile is indeed pretty sweet looking.

Here yah go Snake. I have to say this one has to be my favorite of the first wave even though its probably the plainest figure. Alot of the pics make it seem like his weapon is a giant batarang but I get more of a Klingon Bat'leth vibe, kinda appropriate name :).

And rounding out the rest of wave one...

raiden225005 06-24-2012 11:43 AM

I posted this last night on TFW but I thought I share these wave 2 pics here too. I like all the figures in this wave but the real standout is the mutant batman. It isn't because the figure itself is special but because of the story on the packaging. To fight killer croc batman basically decides it's okay to throw toxic waste on himself to turn into a bat to help with the battle.

I like this line. Me and my son have a lot of fun playing with them.
