If I'm picturing it right his left leg is on his right side and ride leg on his left side? Assuming the legs are attatched at the thigh swivel or at the hip joint area then you may need to do the boil method. Heat up a kettle take wolverine place him in a bowl or large cup and submerse him in hot water, Let him soak for 5-10 minutes, then CAREFULLY pull him out, either dump the water our and him into the sink or use a rubber/wooden spoon to scoop him out. Once you get him out, dry him off, then you will notice a lot more play and give with the joints, act fast and you can probably snap them off, then re-attatch them. From there once they're reconnected, throw him the freezer for like a half hour, that will stiffen the joints and should be as good as new. if that doesn't work post pics.

^ Does that mess up the figure's paint at all? I've got a couple figures with bowlegs that need straightening.

Depends on the figure, if your figure has any paint chips or wear then it may take more off. I've done it for a few MU and ML and worked fine, the key is not going overkill with temps and time. Meaning for the water temperture either run hot water until the point you see steam then use that, or boil a kettle and the second you hear the whistle go off, stop then pour carefully small amount at a time coating the area and figure. if the figure is light like a mu or MS as some of them are hollow casts, you may need to hold the figure down further into the water use a salade tonge or wooden spoon, something soft with a long handle to avoid burning your fingers or damaging paint. Once suberged keep you eye on the time and give him 5-10 mins max. I give roughly 1 minute for 1 inch of surface space. Once he's out, quick dry then do what you need to do, once the figure is back to good, place him gently in the freezer as desired. this effect with harden the soft plastic back to it's normal feel and keep the joint tight. I must admit was funny when my girlfirend asked why Ironman was doing in the freezer next to the rum, then she said never mind it makes sence, lol.

What works GREAT for me is I have a couple of those dish shaped portable heaters that you buy from like Walmart or somewhere that I use
in my basement where my "office" (as my kids have come to call it doing important "daddy stuff" like writing out bills and tweeking and playing with my figures) .iAnyway, I put my figure that I have to pop off a head or leg or whatever and leave it in front of the heater for a few mins and it softens up the plastic big time which then your able to make neccessary adjustments or tweeks. It works perfectly w/o damageing the figure plus keeps me warm in the winter while I'm doing my business(action fig. Monkey business) down there. You can pick one up for about $35-50. Every business man should not be without one!

It's a good remedy for those stubborn joints that are hard to turn or move in fear of breaking them. And after your finished let the fig cool down @ room temp for a few mins and your fig is back in business.successful figure surgery...you'll feel like you should be hanging making figs as the 5 th horseman, dude.
