Hi. We took a look at this toy and even though it didn't have great reviews, Connor and I saw potential in it.

In the end, it had its strengths and weaknesses. First an overview.

This "rocket" mixes baking soda and vinegar together in its body to build up gases and shoot the rocket off into the sky. It says it can go up to 50 feet and I found that generally true.

The rocket body presses into a rubber plug in the launch pad base. Since it's squeezed in there like a cork, it take a lot of pressure to pop off of it. That's what makes it fly.

The pros are
1) Great STEM toy for kids to learn some physics and chemistry lessons.
2) It's fun. Nothing like launching things into the air
3) It's a good parents/kids bonding toy.

The cons primarily are
1) it really does need an adults help if the kids are 8 or younger
2) It sprays baking soda on your clothes.

Connor and his friend tried out this toy without much success because they were really too young to do it themselves. It's fun watching them figure it out and mess around together all the same.
