I'd prefer if they did come with stands because my Electro is really hard to balance and Taskmaster has a weak ankle joint so he takes ages to stand up! Sometimes if I have one that stands on his own better than another I swap stands.

Star Wars figs run at least a buck more than MU where I live.

I'd prefer they lose the name on thte stands- it's kinda pointless. Us collectors know exactly who the fig is already and it would make the bases swappable.

I ammazes me the people thay say "screw Hsbro" or they purposely made a line suck"- first, no company intentionly makes anything inferior. Second, no one's forcing you to buy anything- why the anger?
You could always buy the Young Justice line- then you'd have cause to swear and complain!

I'll say it plainly: MU is the single best superhero toy line of all time.
price of Star Wars also stayed the same for me 6.99 -8.99. Guess Houston is the place to be for toys

After rereading the initial post and doing some serious soul searching I would like to change my answer.

I'm cool with getting no bases.

I seriously dont know what im gonna do if MU follows star wars prices: my local Toys R Us jsut went to 9.99 a figure before tax, but thats the legacy/saga or whatever it is collection, not the clone wars stuff. I have a target that charges 8.79 for IM2 and MU

Have you considered donating blood?

I don't think MU figures will cost as much as Star Wars figures, but who knows with that Avengers movie looming...

If it blows up as big as Star Wars you may be looking down the barrel of a $10 figure!

as long as a figure feels like it has more quality. strange, cyclops, cable all feel like i could and have spent 10 bucks wheras scarlet spider, falcon, darkhawk feel like i'd only want em for 6 bucks.

as for stands, yes. every figure including comic packs, 3 packs, and 6 packs should come with stands.

Dunno if it's just me, but unless there's a sale on, My local walmart and Zellers charges $9.99/figure of MU/Spidey/gi etc. Sometimes there are BOGO sales or 20-50%off type events but not often and when there is stuff gets soldout, with the exception of IM2 figures, still tons of them. If they actually went down to the 2-4$ range I'd probably pick up a bunch more to add to the hall of armours. instead of the main ones I tried to focus on.

The prices run about the same for figures where I live. Captain America, Marvel Universe, Star Wars... all $7.99. Wal-Mart is a little cheaper for Captain America figures at $7.96. Toys R Us is $7.99 as well.

The highest I've seen for figures like Captain America and Marvel Universe was Disney Store. They were $9.50 before shipping on their website. I did get a chuckle when I noticed they were trying (emphasis on the word 'trying') to sell the Strikefire vehicle for $39.50.

I'd like to see the figures have a stand included considering the prices being charged at retail. I'm neutral about names being included on them though.

My opinion on the stands? Yes, every MU release should come with some form of stand. This is partly a collectors line so some consistency among the comic packs etc getting stands would be appreciated. The other reason why is simply that some MU figures are a pain to stand up. Simple as that.

Must be- target here sells SW for 8.99 and TrUS for 9.99.
Even that black dude with the bucket! They have an entire peg of that guy!

But the point is, cutting the file cards might have saved on other costs- stuff we never see, like new molding process or whatever to give us tricked out characters like Dpctor strange or a bigass Apoclypse for the same price as a smaller fig.

Or it could be that charging $7.99 for every fig in the wave allows them to offer four "normal" and one "big" figure per wave, as costs balance out.

On the other hand, GI Joe figs come with a TON of extras and equipment that MU figs dont- there might be heavy liscencing fees going to Marvel to produce the line, y'know!?

...but as to stands, I generally think they should all have one, but not big figs like Skarr where the stand wont even fit under him!

well I belive they should all come with stand , 2 pack , 3 pack and 6 packs . why only single packs come with but other dont. But I belive some of the flyer should come with stands to prop them up they do look better when they are flying or hovering in your collection . or if we wanted to do a battle shot .

But to put a different name of the stand and call it a variant still blows my mind . We are paying for a extra figure just for the only . hahaha hasbro way to make me spend more money for my toy addiction . lol
