Strap shields (like Movie Cap) and MU shields can't be held in front like this:

The peg shields are okay I guess. I don't hate them, but I would rather have straps, it makes it easier to hold on the arm. Although, the strap shields also have the clips that break off easy, I don't see the peg shields really having that problem. |

I need to get the US Agent figure one of these days. I love that shield. It's so fighting american. I'll probably give it to Commander Rogers though. I might get two commander rogers, and give him one the shield and a skull cap for a fighting american custom.

The head is from a Star Wars build-a-droid 2-pack. I think it was the Dark Trooper series.

I agree. I like the peg shields better, especially because you can "strap" the shields to their back by inserting the peg into their back-hole! Um, no jokes here please... I wasn't quite sure how to word that one |

Come on! What good does the shield do him just hanging on the side of his arm? He's got to hold it in front of him for it to fulfill it's purpose.

Sorry bro, but you'd never hold a shield that way, It's got no support. You need it braced against your body as it be flimsy as hell at the end of your extended arm.

				 | Quote: Modern 1/18th articulation just isn't flexible enough to allow Cap to hold his shield in tons of cool positions if it's just strapped to his arm. With the peg/clasp combo, he can hold it close to his chest, to his side, or straight out. |

But when pegging ino the back of the fgure, it looks tupid, since it looks like there is no support for it. I much prefer the MU straps, as it looks better when it is on his back.

so the conclusion to what I've read, is win goes to MU shields when displayed on the figure's back and the win goes to the movie line peg shield when being held!, win win, and buy both to alternate. problem solved

I personally like Cobra Commanders head on Captain America [Armoured Cobra Commander, to be exact]. Can you just smell the irony?
