Mitsurugi looks great, but I'm surprised they aren't opting for more iconic versions of the characters. It seems like a weird choice to go with this iteration of the game and showcase looks that may not be baked in yet. Additionally, Yoshimitsu would have been my choice. Not because he's my favorite character - Lizard Man and Asteroth are my faves - but because of Yoshimitsu's popularity, his ability to fit into several aesthetics, and based on the strength of some really inspired designs for him over the years that would easily translate into great looking toys - not that this Mitsu is any less fantastic looking in comparison to anything else; it's gorgeous.

I wish he looked a bit less stocky but otherwise a great looking figure.

I like it but it falls into the storm collectables trappings of details are too soft. Its 2000s detail in a 2020 figure world.

I would have prefered Soul Calibur 2, since that was probably the high point of the franchise along with 3. It declined since 4 and 6 was only a little popular because it was better than the abysmal 5. Misturugi looks a bit too stocky and muscular, and very different from the earlier incarnations. Taki was shown as a prototype and looks good, but she hasn't changed much since the early days. Someone above said Yoshimitsu and he'd be great but I think he's mostly a Tekken character that became a recurring guest in Soul Calibur, so if he gets made it will likely be for the Tekken line. |

Their Taki looks overly muscular and proportions don’t look like the version from SC6. The only figures I would get if they make from this IP are Siegfried or Nightmare. They are like the Ryu and Ken of this Franchise, they should have started with them first. |

Neat but let me know when they do Ivy and Nightmare. Then you'll have my interest.

I will grab the swashbuckling Cervantes if they get around to him. I have always liked Ivy & Nightmare due to their weapons mainly, but Soul Calibur suffers from thier weird stance of "This character can only be played on this system..." I mained Spawn in SC2 and it was a hard lesson learned that if I wanted to play at a friends house and they didn't have the Xbox version then I didn't have a playable character. I remember crushing my brother and him saying, "If we weren't playing on Xbox you couldn't beat me!" He was right so I started playing Cervantes. After about a week I vividly remember him admitting that he preferred when I played Spawn because my Cervantes was way more difficult for him. |

Lol Awesome story, especially the "crushing" part. Thank goodness for the internet and online play (latency and all) as I quickly ran out of irl friends that could hang in fighting games circa 1990. Lol

				 | Quote: A lot of Storm’s fighting game stuff has been the most recent iteration at the time (Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, the Samurai Shodown reboot, etc). The big exception seems to be King of Fighters since they’ve only done figures from KOF 98 so far rather than XIV or XV. I’d be interested to know if the focus on modern stuff is just wanting to get in on the zeitgeist or the licensors specifically requesting Storm do the current iterations for synergistic or reasons. Or licensing issues in certain cases. Soul Calibur is a bit odd though since SC VI has already come and gone and Namco no longer seems to be supporting it either with DLC or on the tournament circuit. Ahh, okay, I wasn't aware of that, but it makes sense when I think back on some of the releases outside of KoF. It's still looks great to me regardless of the version it's based on. |

Pretty bad-ass. Even though I never used him I'll probably get it because I love the Soul Calibur series. But if they ever do Ivy or Taki I'll completely lose it and throw my money at the screen...

This brings back memories, I originally got hooked on Soulcaliber all the way back on the Dreamcast back in the day, Mitsurugi was my favorite. Enjoyed some of the later releases as well. He does look a little bulky to me, but nice figure overall. Not $95 nice for me, but cool nonetheless. |

Woah, nice! Might be the lighting, but the skin tones feel a tad too white to the point of being ghostlike. Other than that, really looking forward to it.

Mighty tempted... SoulBlade/Edge was my JAM in the late '90s, and the theme song still pops into my head every few months. I'd love a set of pre-Calibur Soul fighters, and her design's been kept close-enough-at-a-glance that I'm not terribly bothered by costume differences from the, let's say, "flexibly interpretable" PSX graphics. And pretty girls are always welcome on my shelf. |

I am always amused that it seems like all character notes that go out for Taki models, whether it be video games, statues, action figures, etc, seems to start with "Don't forget, she has nipples."
