Which version of the Human Torch would you guys suggest?

I'm thinking about getting the comic pack with him and Wolverine, but there always seems to be some version of a character, or an entire line, that I don't even know exists.

Suggestions?

I prefer the one from the comic pack. The single pack flame on just looks weird to me.

The sdcc invaders pack is also pretty cool and I really like the fireball accessory.
I'd also pick the comic pack version over the single carded flame head version.
The clear variant is also cool but expensive. It is being released again in another upcoming case though.

Do you know when? I am hoping to use this one with the modern Fantastic "3" box set that comes out.

Fallow up: You can find Superhero Showdown Human Torch pretty cheap on the net, considering shipping within the states is a lot cheaper than to ship to Canada. Save yourself from getting an other Wolverine, and go with SHS HT if you cannot wait for the re-release of the MU one =3

Comic pack- looks perfect fot his comics lok from 99% of his appearances.

The SDCC version is great but it's the original Human Torch- not the FF's Johnny Storm. That fireball attachment is indeed great though.

The Showdown version is...welll, it's awful. At best, I may chop off it's head and make a custom Toro to go with my Invaders team!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I think I'm going to go with the Comic Pack version. I'm not really liking that Wave 1 version. The clear one isn't bad, but the other looks a little off to me.

Tiberius, I was wondering why they'd release a Fantastic 4 "set" without including all 4 of the members too. Seems dumb.

JOhnny was recently killed in the comics and the team could not go on as the "Fantastic Four" any longer. Johnny had made a holographic will and asked that Peter Parker, Spider Man replace him in thhe team- Reed, Sue and Ben all agreed and the new team, dubbed the Future Foundation includes Spidey as well as Franklin and valeria Richards, Alex Power and several others. Their costumes are white with black.

I assume that the Mu line will offer a nicely repainted Spider Man figure in his "FF" costume and the three pack will have a Future foundation variant- which would roc if it had Spidey in in instead of silly HERBIE.

I love H.E.R.B.I.E though! One of the main reasons I am getting it. The one thing that has upset me with MU is lack of interchangeable parts and accessories . Example, if Reed Richards isn't kicking ass while being all stretchy like, he ALWAYS has some sort of gadget to save the day, and well, he has nothing! Would it kill hasbro to re-use some Gi Joe things [besides that M16] to add to MU Figures?

Also, does anyone know of a 3 3/4 fabric white lab coat? And I new head for Jonny Storm? The point faced, fire haired head needs to be replaced asap! XD

I'm sure I'll get the 3.75" version when (if) I see him in a store, but I really think the 8" version is almost perfect in scale.. I posted a link in my opening post to him on Amazon. The 3.75" version is also available for $17 shipped.

I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering that. While I don't read many comics I heard about Torch dying and think that's a silly reason to not include him in the set. That'd be like not adding the Wasp to the upcoming Avengers set simply because SHE'S dead as well (or is she now? I swear these characters die and come back so often I need a score card to keep track).

Anyway yeah, booo on Hasbro for not adding a Torch to the set.

I'm delighted to be getting Herbie instead of Torch. Torch just isn't relevant right now and we already have like 4 versions of him anyway. We have zero Herbies. This is a perfect set to me, and I can't wait to get it. It's one of the few MU items I've pre-ordered.
