Don’t get me wrong, I like this. I will buy this. But this was just announced, yet no more ultimates announced after toyfair ? Or that accessory pack they were talking about? I don’t get it.

They're losing the license due to the ongoing legal battle but this is a simple repaint of an existing sculpt so they can still squeeze it in.

I know. I just can’t believe that no other ultimates were far enough along for release by the end of the year. Just sour grapes on my part. But like Ben said, “they’ll be back soon, and in greater numbers”.

They're not actually "losing" the license...it's just on hiatus until the case is done with. Then they can continue churning out Jasons to their heart's content.

They released a good amount of Ultimates this year! Remake, Freddy vs Jason, and Roy. Not to mention the other figures like; 1/4 scale part IV, Toony Terrors, and Corpse Pamela. Not sure they could have squeezed anymore in.

I just one some GOOD quarter scale Predators. Their last batch was disappointing.

This toony line is NOT my thing, but always like seeing creativity. This line would HAVE been killer, if it was the 90's and we had the accompanying cartoon to sell these babies.

Yea, I just checked the neca twitter page and it says expect some new ones at nycc next month. Randy also said further down that if you like the first w waves wait for series 3 and 4. Plus that page is loaded with fans posting pics of these. Bbts also seems to be sold out of some of the singles already. That tells me they are selling. I think you have some bad info there.

1 thing that is odd. NECA seems to have removed all mention of these NES Toony Terrors on their Facebook and website.

I get email notices from a store called House of Mysterious Secrets. I just got a notice from them that they are cancelling and refunding orders for the NES Freddy and Jason. They said that they hope to offer them again in the future.

Not sure if they are having trouble getting them because they are a smaller store or if Neca delayed/cancelled them. Could be a last minute lawsuit monkey wrench.

Yeah, it’s starting to come through a few stores now. The NES wave is at the very least on hiatus if not outright cancelled due to the mess at New Line Cinema.

As far as I can tell, only the NES Freddy and Jason are affected. The other Toonys are all still listed on NECA's site.

A bit OT, but people on YouTube are posting videos of Halloween store walkthroughs and I've noticed a lot of Freddy and Jason merchandise. I wonder if the lawsuit will have any effect on those things? Not that they'll get pulled, but, if the suit isn't settled, will we be seeing less of that stuff next year?

It really doesn’t seem like the suit should have any effect over merchandising for the sequels, expect they couldn’t use the generic Friday the 13h name, they would specifically need to say something like “Friday the 13th Part III” or whatever movie they’re licensing from (like why you see Hellraiser 3 and Halloween resurrection merch rather than the originals)

The lawsuit is affecting the entire franchise, all merchandise included. While Jason wasn't an adult until the sequels Miller is arguing that he is still the creator of the character. Since the character rights are in dispute they're suspended until the dispute is settled which apparently neither party is ready to do.
