Byrnes, do you have any of the vehicles/playsets? I remember having a danger room and a blackbird. I think the DR folded up into sort of a plastic gym bag. I just wanted to know if any of the old sets would work with the new 3.75 figures.

what was the green robot from the shi'ar royal guard? I remember him and the little guy in his back had strange names. He had a figure in the Phoenix Saga line right?

I had a lot of these toy biz x-men figures back in the day. Remember:
Magneto (sparking chest) Sinister (glowing chest) Tusk Strong Guy Beast (he used to flip!) Spacesuit Wolverine (retractable claws) My personal favorite was Cable (with a string backpack and a gun that fired a missile) ![]()

Was Havok exclusive to Toy Fare magazine?
I regret passing on the AOA Magneto with pod a few years back. It was cheap and MISB too.

Is there an interest in these still? I loved them growing up and I played with them everyday. I'm moving soon and I am thinking of selling what I have from the toy biz stuff. I have a lot of figures and a lot of the play sets/vehicles. If people are interested, I'll put a list up here. Otherwise, I'm doing a garage sale haha. Also, please don't look at this as spam. I'm just trying to see if there is a interest.

It's picking up steam. With the cost of new toys for parents and the kids from the 90's starting to make some money and the new movies being more popular than ever I have seen a big increase in bidding prices on the Toy Biz stuff over the last year or two. I'm always looking for Toy Biz stuff. It won't go for crazy amounts, but there is interest for sure. If nobody else I would check it out for sure on here. I'm sure you could sell on Ebay no problem. |

Both of those figs were iconic to me. I like Robot Fighter's Storm for her sculpt even though I hated the outfit. But getting the Mohawk Storm that was a Canadian exclusive made up for it. |

Just wandered into this thread, and seeing some of these figures really takes me back. I remember driving my mom crazy as we drove from store to store trying to track down the original Rogue figure (with uppercut action), until we happened upon a Kay-Bee Toys (remember those?) employee who was nice enough to check in the back for me. I remember being shocked as he opened the case, to find only one Rogue among a sea of Wolverines, but was so happy to be the only one among my friends to have that ugly looking figure. It was my first real experience in dealing with chase figures, and it's one I'll never forget. I may have gotten rid of most of my old Toybiz X-figures, but I still have that Rogue. She's a constant reminder of why I still continue to collect to this day.
That said...is it any guess though as to who my favorite character was, not to mention my favorite Toy Biz X-Men figures, growing up? I used to have that crazy one with the extending body parts too, but sadly he ended up getting lost at some point. As much as I like the newer, more sinister looking versions, I really wish Hasbro would do the goofy looking "first appearance" Apocalypse. He was pretty awesome. ![]() I mean...how cool was this guy? I remember my mind being blown when I got him... ![]() |

I've gotten so used to Apoc's permanent scowl that I completely forgot he used to grin/smile.
He seems creepier like that - in a Joker sort-of way.

I like his original build better too, it's like major league baseball and Marvel discovered steroids at the same time.

This line was great but lacked a few great characters so I've been working on some customs from this line recently. I did this Dazzler. Used the Marvel Gold Black Widow. I have since taken bracelets off and she looks much better. and now I'm working on Angel. I thought we never got a decent Angel in this line. Used the Red Angel Battle Brigade Body, 2099 Meanstreak Head and the DC Hawkman Total Justice Wings. Hope to have picture of hit soon for you. Got some other figures in mind also like Toad, Fabian Cortez and Callisto.

People are going back and collecting this line it looks like. There seems to be a ton of great memories for everyone here with this line and its readily available for somewhat cheap compared to today's toy costs.
