In answer to your question: as long as it's well written, I'm fine with either format.

I like written more but sometimes it is hard to find one. I was wondering what others liked because there is so many video reviews and not many written ones.

Reminder, the toy review forum is strictly for toy reviews only. Toy and Action figure General Discussion is a more appropriate place for this type of discussion.

Sorry for any confusion.

I prefer the video format just because you can show the articulation as well as scale with a larger variety of figures better. I do enjoy the written review as well but the overall feeling I'm often left with is a sense of incompleteness, which is sometimes true with the video review as well.

as an aside I realize that in written reviews they sometimes feature scale but not always with figures I would want them scaled with and I'd rather not fruitlessly do an image search. especially when I can search youtube and generally locate said scale comparisons within the review IE I like to see what they hasbro spiderman line juggernaut looks like beside other figures than just juggernaut and I was able to find one that had him posed with a couple of Hulks and it really illustrated what I was looking for

When stuff is new I think a lot of people use them to see the articulation and such. I like seeing what the quality is on things I am interesting in buying, especially if the price is high on the item. There have been a few times a review has saved me from wasting my money on something I wouldn't have liked.
