These actually do scale with many of DC Collectibles prior figures. The 6.75 Inch scale. Only Icons and Animated don't fit from the last 5-7 years. They also pair ok with NECA figs, 7 Inch. But, not with Marvel Legends, DC Multiverse or the Asian market ones.

I did not think about NECA figures. Maybe it's cause I'm on the outside looking in and haven't done enough research. Multiverse, Icons, Essentials, Universe Classics... Seems super redundant.

I really don't see the point of the softgoods leggings, just seems like a way to justify the price point. That and Rorschach's hat looking off-model (looks more like a bucket hat to me) make these easy to pass on.

Man they botched the Comedian's scar. His face was gouged by that bottle, it's something that even the Mattel figure made sure to do right but here they changed it into a pretty normal looking cut.

I'm loving them too! People say they don't scale that well together, but they go pretty great with the old 7 inch figures, the Marvel Select, and anything NECA. While I have some issues with the quality control, the Watchmen figures are especially crisp.

Exactly man! Not everything's got to scale with Marvel legends no matter how many times we hear it haha.
The only QC problems i have are those Ankles but the reverse flash and Like you said Watchmen figs are what made me go all in on these

I might still get the Manhattan and Ozymandias pack, especially since it's price has already been dropping online, but damn did they drop the ball on Comedian's face. That's twice I've said it now but I'm still just stupefied that a collector-oriented line like this got it so wrong. It is also pretty weak that because of shared bodies Dr Manhattan has sculpted fabric wrinkles (most obvious near the abs) given he's mostly naked.

It still drives me nuts that they botched the Superman figure with the lack of an S symbol on the cape and unpainted belt loops. This isn't based on any live action or animated rendition of Superman where the animators left the S symbol off the cape because it's hard to animate. It's the current Superman who is back in his classic suit and has an S symbol on his cape. And leaving the belt loops unpainted when it had red belt loops at toyfair is just lazy and I don't understand how they could screw something so simple up.

How is this Flash not comic accurate? It looks pretty accurate to me.

Yeah, I don't see what's not accurate. I know a few details tend to go back and forth, like whether the boots are red or yellow, but odds are, any Flash figure is going to be comic-accurate to one version of the suit or another.

I have seen these Essentials in comic shops a handful of times and have never seen one with decent paint. DC Direct and DC Collectibles used to have pretty solid paint apps, but these don't look that good IMO. DC Collectibles shouldn't necessarily be beholden to any other company's scale, but they have to know they would sell way more figures if they scaled with Marvel Legends. DCC should just suck it up and make them the same scale. The character selection is pretty weak too. The Essentials line is mostly just the same characters they release over and over again. Finally, I probably would have bought the Mime and Marionette figures if they were single carded or if they came together in a 2-Pack, but trying to force me to buy characters that I already have cost them a sale.

I never responded to these. lol

I never said those figure weren't comic accurate, I meant I wanted a comic accurate line as in not a TV show line.

Ok,I own none of these. I consider Mattel to be the definitive dc line. Though these look very nice,I can not unsee those huge holes in the upper torso sides. Just god awful.

I'm gonna nitpick and point out that DCC was pretty lazy with this pack because in their New-52/Rebirth designs Black Adam and Shazam are not just color swaps of one another. They have different belts, boots, capes, and body-suit details. I'll give DCC props for giving us two nice headsculpts here that represent both characters well but I'm still bothered by most of the problems I have with the Essentials line.

Does the cape come off Black Adam?

Also, why doesn't Black Adam have the pointy ears he's had for almost 75 years?

Ever since the New 52 the pointiness of his ears has been heavily downplayed if not totally undone. I suspect it's been done to cut back on his "evil" vibe as the character has been increasingly portrayed as more neutral.
