Not sure when, but I'll definitely be getting the Superman figure regardless of whether or not the rest of the line is canned. That said, I do really hope it continues, as I would love to be able to form the Justice League with it.

I really don't see how anyone can believe the DC Figures are better than Mezco? They're not even close!

I've just seen this in the flesh. I think I look more like Henry Cavill than it does. Go for the Mafex version, folks.

I think the lack of paint, and sub-par application of the eyes and eyebrows that are there, detracts from the sculpt that is there. If it was highlighted properly, it would be pretty damn good IMO. What made me realize that were these 2 shots...

When the light hits in and shows depth of sculpt, it's good. Unfortunately in even light, with no paint to mix it up, it gets lost.

On the other hand, the Mafex one is a good sculpt as well, going for the slicked back hair style, BUT, they went overboard with the paint, in off-colors.

I don't have the answer on what middle ground should be, just bitching here from the sidelines.

They are good for different reasons. The Armored Bats for Mezco is top of the line, but smaller. The weathering on the DC Films is slightly better IMO in even light.

Capes - I prefer DC Films material, but it's too long. Mezco's is too thick, looks dollish.

Superman - not out yet for Mezco, nor is regular Bats for DC Films.

Anyone will be hard to beat Mezco's regular Bats.

The thing that makes DC Flims be contenders here - Price - 1/2 of Mezco, size - bigger. Couple those 2 things, and the few things DC Films are lacking get made up.

All of this is personal opinon. I'm not arguing against Mezco, or Mafex for that matter. They all have good points and collectors should grab what fits with their ongoing collections.

Personal preference. Mezco's stuff is nice, but more along the lines of one-off pieces for me. With DCC's film series I could easily see myself forming the whole Justice League and maybe even some villains and side characters.

As for Mafex, no thank you. I prefer my Superman action figures to look like they have functioning livers, lol

The objective main problem with MAFEX (I have problems with how some of their figures look, but that's subjective) is the terrible quality control inconsistencies from figure to figure. For many people, the MAFEX BvS Batman held up great, but the Superman had terribly floppy joints.

...is this supposed to be a figure from a Superman from the comics, right? Cause it doesn't look like Henry Cavill. I'm quite happy with my MAFEX figure. It just needs some paint work and it's perfect

Are you able to use the Batman's cape to shape it into gliding form? Might get it if that's the case
