Hasbro has re-issued at least two of the Battle Chargers that were previously released under the Transformers RPM banner. Now under the Speed Stars banner, Battle Chargers Bumblebee and Cyber Armor Optimus Prime have been released as noted by a sighting at the Walmart store in Elgin, Illinois.
Neither figure has been altered from the previously released and is released under the same assortment and product number as the RPM versions. Only the packaging and UPC barcode differ from the original release. Each Battle Charger is selling for $12.88. Check out picture proof of the Battle Chargers rebranding by clicking on the thumbnail to the left. |

According to a scan from Japanese magazine Famitsu, Optimus Prime from the Transformers Movies appears in a list of characters for the Super Robot Wars video game series! Unfortunately it is something of a joke article, listing characters that will almost certainly never show up in Super Robot Wars, with Zyuranger (original Power Rangers) Dagwon, and Tetsujin 28 (Gigantor) also shown.
So close, yet so far! Maybe one day we'll see Transformers in a Super Robot Wars game. Until then we've always got Dreammix TV World Fighters... |

Good news, Generations fans! The next wave of Generations has been released at US retail. Generations Wave 5 is the wave that contains War For Cybertron Cliffjumper and Generation 1 Pretender homages Skullgrin and Thunderwing! Skullgrin and Cliffjumper were spotted at the Greenwood South Target in Indiana. Thunderwing the stormbringer was not sighted - chances are he was already snapped up by a fan of the big guy.
Happy hunting guys - this news editor is now eagerly awaiting getting his Thunderwing! |

You may have heard from various news sources such as Japan Times Online that due to recent world events, Japan will be introduced a 1 pound (453 gram) limit on U.S. Bound airmail. This will naturally affect us collectors who regularly import items from Japan.
However, our sponsors Hobby Link Japan have updated their site to confirm that they will not be affected by these measures due to their regular customer status, and other Japan based retailers have also begun to confirm they are equally unaffected. So don't worry HLJ customers, your packages will continue to arrive as normal! |

Although we knew they were coming soon to McDonald's Happy Meals, we have not seen any preview regarding what type of Transformers figures would be included in the little bundles of greasy food. Thanks to eBay seller "crazyforfigure2010", we now know that the Transformers figures in the upcoming Happy Meal will be movie-based. The auction features images of both Optimus Prime and Megatron as they appeared in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Both figures are non-transformable and have a button-activated gimmick. Optimus' button appears to deploy his sword while Megatron's button activates his claw gimmick.
Check out all of the images coutesy of "crazyforfigure2010" after the jump! Update: Thanks to 2005 Boards member snowtech, we now have our first look at the Bumblebee figure. Check it out after the jump! |

KOToys has posted a selection of images of the upcoming Reveal the Shield Legends Class Megatron, Starscream and Trailcutter. These three Legends are nice recreations of the original toys, with updated looks and at a pocket sized scale. Of particular interest as well as the comparison images, you can see that Starscream now has black paint on his head, while Megatron now has the tip of his barrel painted blaze orange.
Check out the images by clicking on the title of this story - and remember that if Megatron's orange tip offends you, there are always silver sharpies. |

Our friend and sponsor Red leader of Kapow Toys dropped by our 2005 boards to share some news that will excite my fellow UK collectors - Reveal the Shield, the rebranded Hunt for the Decepticons line featuring Classics style versions of Tracks, Jazz and others, will be released in the UK in Spring 2011!
Unfortunately it's not all good news. While the shield will be revealed in 2011, Generations has reached an early end with just two waves released in the UK, and the rest not on the Hasbro rep's phasing plans. No word on anything more on the Power Core Combiners, either. Instead the UK gets a major push for Stealth Force... But at least we've got Classics Jazz and Tracks to look forward to. For the rest (if you've not already picked them up), head on over to Kapow Toys! |

With just less than 2 weeks remaining for the Transformers: Prime debut, Hasbro has updated their Hub website’s Transformers: Prime section’s background with a pic of Optimus Prime and Megatron at the opposite ends of the image.
The image looks a lot like the War For Cybertron game cover and would certainly make a good Wallpaper for your PC. Take a look at the Image by visiting the “Additional Images” section of this News Article. |

The promotional push ahead of the premiere of Transformers: Prime on The Hub continues. A new Transformers: Prime advertisement has appeared on the back cover to DC Comics' Justice League of America Issue #51 that was released today in comic book stores. The advertisment features a face-off between the known Autobot and Decepticon forces thus far and a fold-over effect which reveals the complete face of Optimus Prime and the logo for Transformers: Prime!.

Transformers PRIME has invaded a New York City block! With the promotional push for the series gaining steam(and even a New Transformers PRIME Advertisement on the back of some new comics), a new billboard using these Transformers PRIME HUB Background Images has been spotted on a whole city block on Broadway! In addition, 2005 boards member ILoveDinobot has also reported seeing the following:
Also Times Square Toys R' Us's outside is completely covered in TF Prime. Like it's a corner of the block and looks like half a hexagon, one side says "Transformers Prime", one side is all the Autobots and one side is all the Transformers. On a related note, yes Transformers PRIME toys are coming but not in the near future. As with fellow HUB series GI Joe Renegades, toys for the respective series will not be available until Fall 2011 at the earliest. More images after the jump! |

Marina City Online, the official website of the twin buildings in Chicago, has posted an article regarding the completed filming of Transformers: Dark of the Moon that was completed several months ago. According to the article, director Michael Bay's plan was to drop several burning cars off of the tower but that the scene was cut to both time and budget issues.
Furthermore, the article also reveals details of the scene that was supposed to occur at Millenium Park before the Chicago shoot ended abruptly following the injury of an extra in a scene in Northwest Indiana. The scene was supposed to be in the reflection of the Cloud Gate sculpture at Millennium Park where they wanted to see the city [on fire] and smoldering.” |
