Some new images have been posted of TFC Toys Junkion Blacksmith sub series. The next wave of their Headmasters concepts are shown as resin prototypes - on show are their Megatron, Blaster and Ultra Magnus, who transform into full-fledged heads for larger Transformers as well as mini versions of their vehicle modes - perfect if you want to make a custom Headmaster Ultra Magnus. An image of what looks like Fortress Maximus' Cerebros is also on show, although it's not clear if this means they are taking the challenge of a new head for Cerebros, or a whole new Cerebros - watch this space.
Also on show is the second Infinity Warfare set teased in the instruction manual of the first set. This accessory pack adds even more swords - and parts to connect them into polearms and other lovely melee weapons - into the mix, and is fully compatible with the original set to build a gigantic weapon that even Unicron would look small holding. These images come to you via ACToys. |

I just want to take the opportunity to thank all the fans around the world for letting me have fun with the Transformers franchise. It has been a wonderful opportunity to have worked with about 4000 crew members around the world. These artists are some of the very best in the entire film business. I’m honored to have had you work along side me. We had an amazing time.
‘Dark of the Moon’ has some of the most technically challenging sequences ever shot. And shot in 3D. I must urge you to find the very best theatre and see this movie in that format. 3D was a forethought, not an afterthought in this movie. I’m glad Jim Cameron and Steven Spielberg really convinced me to shoot in this new technology. We used and invented many new techniques to make the 3D sharper, brighter and more color contrast. I think theatre owners heard their audience that they need to respect the specs of the projectors and not dim the bulbs to save money. Many theaters are presenting it in the brand new 7.1 sound, which is awesome. This is the most complex, intricate sound track that me and my Academy Awarding winning sound team have done. They really out did themselves to make this a big picture experience. Hopefully you will have as much fun watching this movie as we all had making it. Thanks, Michael Bay |

Just announced - Chevrolet will be releasing a 2012 Camaro with special Transformers Edition trim. The car will feature the following, above and beyond normal options for the car at purchase:
The 2012 Transformers Special Edition will be offered as a $3,000 package on 2LT and 2SS Camaro Coupes with Rally Yellow paint. In addition to the content offered in the popular RS appearance package, the Transformers edition will feature black rally stripes that stretch over the hood, roof, decklid and unique high-wing rear spoiler; 20-inch, black-painted wheels wrapped in high-performance summer tires; and Autobot Shield logos on the center caps and front quarter panels. Inside, the Transformers Camaro has a black leather interior accented with yellow stitching on the instrument panel, center console, armrests and seats. Autobot Shield logos are embroidered on the front headrests, as well as the center console lid. Two dealer-installed options are also available: exclusive, 21-inch, black-painted wheels and a black ground-effects package. Editor's Note - the yellow featured in the promo shots is NOT Rally Yellow. Rally Yellow is the name for GM's stock Yellow color, and looks like this. So picture the above options, on that color, and that is what GM will be offering in 2012. To see pictures, and check the full press release, read on! |

Auto Assembly have uploaded their latest news video to Youtube, with word that this year's latest guest is none other than Nick Roche's partner in crime, the other half of the duo that brought us the legendary Last Stand of the Wreckers, James Roberts! Nick and James did a legendary panel last year (look for it on Youtube later, courtesy of the official Auto Assembly 2012 Youtube channel). Look forward to meeting the man himself at the Holiday Inn Birmingham 12-14 August 2011!

Some interesting news has reached us here of yet another third party custom Minibot series. This one is called "X-Transbots" with the initial releases being Wheelie and Powerglide, which almost entirely replicate the Jizai Toys designs. These could be one of two things - either the excellent Jizai Toys designs are getting a wider market release beyond their "one day exclusive" status at Japanese hobby shows, or more likely, another group has copied the designs for their own release. These look to be slightly larger than the original versions, given a comparison shot of the two Wheelies. They are expected to be up for preorder in July with a release slated for later this year according to the original poster on ACToys.
We'll update with more information as it becomes available. |

Director Michael Bay and Producer Steven Speilberg return this summer for the third film in the Transformers franchise, Tranformers: Dark of the Moon. The amazing visual effects in this film are complimented by the talented efforts of the sound team including Re-recording Mixers Greg Russell and Jeff Haboush, and Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designers Ethan Van der Ryn, and Erik Aadahl.
This is the first 3D film of the series and will also be presented in regular 2D, Real D 3D and IMAX, featuring Dolby Surround 7.1 sound. |

According to a recent interview with Chris Ryall by ComicBookResources, 2 new Transformers Comics will relaunch after the "Chaos" storyline concludes:
You mentioned “Transformers” briefly, and there was an announcement that those series will be released digitally, and of course you’re going biweekly through the end of the year. Is all set to coincide with the new movie? No, we did a couple prequels that lead into the movie, but this is all just our ongoing “Transformers” universe stuff. This was all put into place by [former editor] Andy Schmidt, before he left a few weeks ago. But it’s basically building to big event called “Chaos,” which is the biweekly thing we’re doing through the end of the year, and then out of that is a relaunch of two new “Transformers” titles, and there’s very important reasons in the Transformers universe why these titles are becoming two, how they’re splitting and what’s going to happen from there. It’s a big that’s sort of rocking the whole Transformers status quo and shaking things up to a big degree. You know, I pay a lot of attention to the Transformers message boards, you see all levels of support and grousing. I think a lot of people who have been grousing about feeling things are going too slow, or not happy with the way things are going this way or that, they’re all going to be very happy with where things are heading, because it’s very much in line with what people are saying that they want but also in a way that they’re not going to see coming. It’s a really nice place where Andy left “Transformers,” I think it’s a really solid direction, and some new creators are coming in that are really going to give it some life that I’ve been wanting to see in there. A sign of hope after all the "Chaos"? You decide! |

Our friends and sponsors TFSource have updated their facebook page with a couple of new images of the upcoming JustiToys World's Smallest Transformable Sixshot, one of three upcoming entries into their unofficial continuation of the much-loved WST Transformers series. This guy was teased early last year along with a Blitzwing and an Astrotrain - so it is good to know they are still in the pipeline.

I had the opportunity to attend an advance screening of Transformers Dark of the Moon last night in Toronto thanks to the fine folks at Paramount. While I will keep the front page here spoiler free I do want everyone to know it is so much better than Revenge of the Fallen and worth seeing in 3D. I came out of ROTF disappointed with so many aspects of that film, to the degree that it gave me a long lasting disinterest in Transformers collecting after 10 years. DOTM made me care about the Movieverse again. It was a solid movie. Not because it was about Transformers, but because it was well done. Read on for a quick review by clicking the title bar.
