Third party group CHMS have posted a new image to their blog, showing off a new accessory that they are making. They are evidently in the process of designing a custom "battle hook" for Dark of the Moon Striker Optimus Prime - based on the fact the handgrip is the same style as the official TRU Japan exclusive Battle Blades. It's one more accessory part for the already heavily armed Striker Optimus Prime!

News from ACtoys this evening, where a new Universe Hound upgrade kit has been shown. This kit comes to us from 3rd Party Group MGS. The upgrade kit includes customizable weapons such as rockets and pistols which can be configured in several different ways on Hound in robot and vehicle mode. He also comes with six gas tanks that can clip on to the figure. I guess Hound is not very fuel efficient! Also, in the photos is the upgrade kit used on Botcon 2010 figure Turbomaster. It's unknown at this time if a seperate kit is being developed for the Botcon Exclusive or if these pictures are just showing off the compatibility.

Planet Iacon has updated their Facebook page with a larger version of a silhouette that has been added to Maketoys' website. This silhouette has a striking resemblance to G1 Computron. Is Computron the next combiner from this 3rd Party Group?
Additionally, Maketoys has updated their website with a teaser for the green Giant. The translation indicates it will be released in a set of all six construction team members. Sound off in our 3rd Party Forum and speculate away on the details! |

More news courtesy of site sponsor Robot Kindgom's Facebook page. We have our first look at what the Takara version of the Transformers Prime toyline's packaging will look like. These figures will come in deluxe sized boxes with no windows for the figures. Additionally, the Microns will come unassembled. Fantastic for those of you who enjoy a little bit of model building with your Transformers.

Igear have been busy boys this evening on their Facebook. They've given us a ton of images for not just one, but three of their upcoming projects. First off, we have MW-03 Hench, an update of Generation 1 Brawn. Hench is shown in robot mode, vehicle mode and displayed with his new shotgun weapon. MW-04 UFO, an updated Generation 1 Cosmos is also shown. Sporting his new space helmet, this figure will apparently also come with a display stand for giving your UFO that hovering effect. Finally, Igear has updated with their new Sharkticon custom figure. This updated Sharkticon is shown in shark mode, robot mode and Igear has0 also uploaded a gif to show that the tail and ears of this figure will be made of soft rubber.
A great night for fans of Igear and 3rd party figures. Take a look at all of the images by clicking the title bar and then head over to the 3rd Party Forum to discuss. |

CM's Corporation have posted more additional images of their upcoming Ginrai Guttu Kurru figure. These new images show off a near-complete version of the figure, complete with a better look at the various poses he can strike and the parts that come with him (four sets of hands, six heads - three for the helmet and three without the helmet, all with different expressions. Lastly there is a new comparison shot with the CM's Minerva figure, showing how she will stand a whole head shorter than Ginrai.

A minor item of interest for some of you here right now, there is a packaging variant out there for Transformers Prime Voyager Megatron. Check out the picture to the left by mtmte586 - on the right you have the initial release version, with the Decepticon symbol cutting into the box window. On the left is a variant version, with the bar on the right a little thicker, and an additional call-out for the "glowing fusion cannon" gimmick.
For most of you this may be a something or nothing kind of change. But for completists, here's another variant to add to the list of ones to track down guys! |

TFW2005 sponsor Robotkingdom has updated their Facebook page with new, in-hand photos of the upcoming MP-11, Masterpiece Coronation Starscream.
This version of Starscream is a remold of the original MP-03 Masterpiece Starscream and features a G1 accurate deco. As the name implies, this version also includes accessories featured during the infamous coronation scene in the 1986 animated Transformers movie: a pair of purple pauldrons, articulated cape and a gold chromed crown. A small, transparent blue pilot is also included to stash in his cockpit. Robotkingdom's MP-11 stock also includes a commemorative coin, as has been the case with previous Masterpiece figures. Check out the photos after the jump, and then head over to the boards to talk it out! |

Fun Publications sent out an email with further information about the recent credit card fraud issue affecting them:
Quote: Here is the latest update on the credit card security investigation. The firm we have hired to analyze our former ecommerce server and software has preliminarily determined that we did incur a SQL injection code attack sometime before Christmas. Our ISP did have a commercial product installed that was supposed to defeat these types of attacks, but apparently it failed. This allowed the hackers access to our order information. While it is still unknown exactly what data they were able to harvest (investigation continues) we need to assume that they were able to extract all of our order information. The security firm thinks that this attack has allowed the hackers to come back periodically and harvest more information. However, once the old server was taken out of service (around February 21st) there was nothing left for them to access. Once this information was stolen, (no matter if it was back before Christmas) there is no time frame as to when the thieves may sell or try to use the information to purport credit card theft. What does this mean to me? We are asking again that anyone who has used a credit card in our old online systems in the past year (NOT THE NEW STORE) to get your card replaced immediately. If you have done this already, there is no action required on your part. We apologize for the inconvenience, we know this whole thing is a pain, but it is better to replace the cards than have to deal with any issues that may result from this theft of data. Even though the amount of fraud has greatly declined, we are still receiving a customer report every few days of someone else (who hasn’t replaced their cards) getting hit. We strongly encourage you to take this step immediately if you have not done so already. Again, this DOES NOT pertain to any cards that have been used in the new store. What is the plan? We are still working on all of the issues and are several weeks away from a final resolution. Our new store is currently offline while we complete the entries and audit the data from the renewals we received last week. Just to reiterate, this new store is a totally different piece of software, at a totally different hosting site. There are hundreds of other retailers using this same software as it is hosted by the software creators. We hope to have the store online and registration system back online sometime next week. When the store comes back online, we will be adding products slowly so it will take some time to have everything back in the store. Thank you for your patience and support during this trying issue. Brian |

iGear has sent out a new picture of their upcoming Hench unofficial update of Minibot Brawn. This new image teases that Hench is going to be one two-faced robot - that is, that he'll have two faces. One face is based on the animation design of Brawn's head - the other is seemingly based on the face from the original toy. Check out our mirror of the image attached to this story.

A bit of news reaches us now about upcoming Transformers Prime assortments. It seems that the Skyquake Voyager we saw at the San Diego Comic Con last year (pictures attached for those that missed it) is in fact not going to be the first release of the mold - we are getting one based on Dreadwing first. Dreadwing, as established in the most recent episode of Transformers Prime, is Skyquake's twin so the repainting of one as the other was inevitable - and given that Dreadwing is tipped to be a major character during season 2, it makes sense to release his toy first while he is fresh in the mind of viewers.
His assortment, the Voyager / Powerizer Wave 3, will also contain repacks of Bulkhead, Optimus Prime and Megatron. Those of you planning to add the Voyager Class Starscream to your shelves take note - he is packed one per case, and only in Wave 2 so far. What is the fate of the touted Skyquake version of this mold though? Doubtless the slides were labelled Skyquake to avoid spoiling a season 2 character reveal - but with Takara-Tomy releasing toys of Transformers Prime in Japan alongside the first season, could we see a Skyquake debut in Japan before America? As always, watch this space. This news comes to you via Full Metal Hero. |
