Third party group Maketoys has updated their website with final, high resolution photos of their highly anticipated green Giant. Their homage to G1 Devastator was previously released with a deco resembling G2 Devastator. In addition to the different color scheme, green Giant features a remolded, detachable crane which doubles as an axe or club weapon, and a second combined mode head with an articulated mouth and visor.
Green Giant is due out towards the end of July or early August. Staff Note: This kit is an unofficial product not produced or endorsed by Hasbro or Takara/Tomy. |

Amazon.com has updated their website with two new listings, the first of which being a box set of Fall of Cybertron Bruticus in Generation 2 Colors, which we first saw rumored in Early May. The second listing comes as a bit of surprise, as it appears Amazon.com will be selling the previously Takara-Exclusive Dark of the Moon Jetwing Optimus Prime. There are currently no images or release dates for these two products, however the G2 Bruticus set is priced at $59.99 and the Jetwing Optimus Prime is priced at $104.99. We will post more information as it becomes available.

Fall of Cybertron's official website, Transformersgame.com, has udpated with new character profiles from the upcoming video game. Now on tap for your viewing pleasure are Decepticon Vortex and Autobots Grimlock and Pereceptor. Fall of Cybertron Pereceptor's vehicle mode is a tank and his profile makes note of him being a sharp-shooter. Grimlock's profile lists him as leader of the "Lightning Strike Coalition". The LSC is a referenece to the group Grimlock lead in Dreamwave's The War Within: The Dark Ages while Perceptor being a sharp-shooter references the IDW version of the character.
Several slots are still open for reveals, keep checking back as more info becomes available. |

Fun Publications has recently sent members of both the Transformers Collectors Club and the G.I. Joe Collectors Club an update through e-mail regarding the upcoming store update.
This quick update is going out to all members of both clubs. It will still be a couple more weeks (we don't know exactly how long as we are waiting on the host to finish their work) until our dedicated store server is online. Once it is ready to go, we will let you know that products in the store have be made active and you will be able to order items from the clubs again. We do not anticipate that all items will be available in the club stores on opening day so please have patience as we finish the migration from the old e-commerce site to this one. In addition, to try and avoid a denial of service issue (because of the volume) we will only bring one set of products online at a time. We will email you when we are going to bring the products online. We are anticipating being ready to go the week of July 23rd, but that could change. Thanks to both groups for your patience and the two great conventions this year! Brian |

The team behind Auto Assembly have stopped by to announce a few things regarding the upcoming convention.
Online MMO games developer Jagex are busy working frantically on their upcoming Transformers Universe MMO. Back in 2011, Jagex supported Auto Assembly by providing us with a great selection of freebies to give away to our attendees, some fantastic t-shirts which we gave away as competition prizes, and donated what is still our highest fundraising auction items ever. We're proud to announce that Jagex will be supporting Auto Assembly again this year and, they’ll be bringing boxes of stuff exclusive to attendees of Auto Assembly 2012. They will be given away as prizes in various competitions during the convention and we will also be giving away some in a pre-registrant prize draw. To enter this, all you need to do is book your tickets for the convention IN ADVANCE and you'll be entered (as long as you don't have a Partner or Under 6 pass!). Then just check your welcome pack on the day and if you have a lucky ticket in there, you've won! Secondly Jagex will be donating something rather special for our charity auction... They will be providing us with a very special print of artwork from the Transformers Universe game signed by the development team! At Auto Assembly 2011, a similar print that was signed by SIXTY members of the team raised an astonishing £350 and we hope that this one will do the same and we want to thank Paul Mayer and Eddy Dew from Jagex for arranging this. Finally, we will be giving away Transformers Universe art cards to our attendees as part of the goodie bags this year. Featuring one of two different designs, these have great CGI landscapes on them and are great collectibles from the game. Also, Auto Assembly has once again broken their own records for Largest European Transformers convention: With over four weeks to go Auto Assembly 2012 is set to be a huge success once again. Since 2005 we have proudly held the attendance record for a European Transformers convention and today we have broken our previous record that we set in 2010! This sets a new landmark for us at the convention as we have only previously set new records or attendance figure milestones at the convention itself. Auto Assembly is August 3rd through 5th at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, England. |

A special thanks goes out to Hasbro and HPR for sending us a review copy of the soon to be released SDCC 2012 SHOCKWAVE HISS TANK with Decepticon Destro and Devastator B.A.T.!
In the 1980's Marvel Comics produced a four-comic series that told the story of GIJOE and Cobra discovering the existence of the Transformers. This special series briefly brought together these two epic worlds and chronicled the dramatic consequences of this discovery. First there was the "lost episode #5" and now.... The legacy of this meeting continues as the two forces join together again in this exclusive SHOCKWAVE HISS TANK! |

An update from the good chaps at Auto Assembly tonight - as traditional this year's attendance-record shattering Auto Assembly will have a Friday night screening of Transformers the Movie (that's the original 1986 animated one folks!)
What makes this year's screening so special is that the screening will be preceded by a special introduction by the voice of Generation 1 Perceptor Paul Eiding and followed up with a Q&A with Paul all about the movie. It's a part of the Friday night schedule which you only get to attend if you're on the whole weekend pass for the show - and it is well worth doing because the atmosphere in the room is unrivaled. You've not seen the original Transformers animated movie until you've seen it in a room with a few hundred fellow fans and all joined in a chorus of the most famous lines - it's well worth doing! Auto Assembly 2012 is less than four weeks away now! It's being held over the weekend of 3-5 August 2012 at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham, England. Find out more and pre-register for Europe's largest Transformers convention at the Auto Assembly homepage. |

Courtesy of Youtuber Walruslaw we have for you a look at the all-new opening and closing credits for the Japanese dub of Transformers Prime. The new opening is TRANSFORMEZ by m-flo, and the new ending is A Little Bit by CLUTCHO. Both are in the same style as the first opening and closing clips for the Japanese dub, rather than the J-Pop stylings of past Transformers shows. Does this more soothing laid back approach work for you? Check out the videos below and decide for yourself:

Hasbro has issued the Official Press Release for the San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Hasbro Showcase.
TRANSFORMERS The astoundingly prolific TRANSFORMERS brand from Hasbro will have an equally impressive presence at Comic-Con. From action figures to video games, animated series to comics, the TRANSFORMERS brand in 2012 offers an exciting lineup of new takes on the pop-culture powerhouse that is truly "MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE." Hasbro will present the perennially popular TRANSFORMERS brand panel on Friday at 1:30pm where never before seen action figures from across the TRANSFORMERS PRIME, GENERATIONS, BOTSHOTS, KRE-O and RESCUEBOTS expressions will be unveiled. Newly revealed action figures in this presentation will be featured in the Hasbro booth display cases following the panel. Beyond the news-packed panel, Hasbro is delivering all of the new ways to experience the TRANSFORMERS brand in 2012 to Comic-Con with a lineup of events as diverse at the TRANSFORMERS characters themselves! TRANSFORMERS PRIME Towering over all of Comic-Con and the Hasbro booth is a 17-foot tall OPTIMUS PRIME statue in the styling of the TRANSFOMERS PRIME animated series — and he has a lot to celebrate. The hit animated series produced by Hasbro Studios currently airing on The Hub in the U.S. recently wrapped its second season for which it won two 2012 Daytime Emmy© Awards, for a total of four since it first premiered in 2010. Hasbro also "rolled out" an extensive line of action figures based on the series and fans will be able to see the full 2012 lineup of TRANSFORMERS PRIME figures in both robot and vehicle mode in an extensive booth presentation including an intricate TRANSFORMERS PRIME diorama featuring space bridges, VEHICONS and more! Plus, Hasbro will distribute samples of TRANSFORMERS PRIME CYBERVERSE Legion Scale figures to convention goers in the Hasbro booth at various times throughout the show, while supplies last. Fans of the series and the iconic voice of OPTIMUS PRIME won't want to miss the "OPTIMUS PRIME: Up Close and Personal" panel on Friday, July 13 at 6:00pm, presented by Hasbro Studios and The Hub TV Network where Larry King, one of the most recognized broadcast interviewers in the world, salutes legendary OPTIMUS PRIME voice actor, Peter Cullen, in an exclusive one-on-one interview. TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS TRANSFORMERS RESCUEBOTS, a new animated series from Hasbro Studios and toy line for younger TRANSFORMERS fans, celebrates its first Comic-Con by offering attendees the chance to meet HEATWAVE, one of the series' characters in the Hasbro booth. The HEATWAVE costume character will be in the booth as well as at "The Hub Headquarters at the Broken Yolk" at various times throughout the convention. The TRANSFORMERS RESCUE BOTS series, currently in its first season, airs on The Hub in the U.S. TRANSFORMERS: THE RIDE-3D The TRANSFORMERS brand also saw the opening of its very first thrill ride in the U.S. in 2012 with the recent launch of TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D at Universal Studios Hollywood. To celebrate the ride at Comic-Con, fans will have the chance to receive limited edition TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D commemorative launch posters beginning at 6:00pm in the Hasbro booth while supplies last. TRANSFORMERS: FALL OF CYBERTRON In celebration of the upcoming, highly anticipated and critically heralded TRANSFORMERS: Fall of Cybertron video game from Activision, available August 21, 2012, Hasbro will welcome game designers to the Hasbro booth at 10:00am on Friday, July 13 to present a look at game play. Action figures based on the CYBERTRONIAN style of the video game (and featured in the brand's GENERATIONS line) will be on display in the Hasbro booth. For an in-depth TRANSFORMERS: Fall of Cybertron video game experience, fans will also want to check out the Activision booth (#5344). TRANSFORMERS COMICS To wrap up Comic-Con in 2012, the TRANSFORMERS brand goes back to the convention's roots and welcomes amazing talent behind two popular comic series from IDW based on the TRANSFORMERS brand. Chris Metzen (writer) and Livio Ramondelli (artist) from the TRANSFORMERS AUTOCRACY series and John Barber (writer) and Andrew Griffith (artist) from the TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE series will be signing autographs from 1:00-2:00pm on Sunday in the Hasbro booth. (TRANSFORMERS comics will be available for purchase in the IDW booth, #2643). Tickets are required for the session and will be distributed beginning at 9:00am on Sunday in the Hasbro booth while supplies last. KRE-O STAR TREK will mark the third major entertainment property to be featured in the KRE-O line. Hasbro successfully introduced the KRE-O brand in 2011 with building sets featuring its globally popular TRANSFORMERS characters and in 2012 introduced the KRE-O BATTLESHIP line. New KRE-O BATTLESHIP and KRE-O TRANSFORMERS sets will be on display in the Hasbro booth including never before seen KRE-O TRANSFORMERS expressions: KRE-O TRANSFORMERS MICROCHANGERS and KRE-O TRANSFORMERS MICROCHANGERS COMBINERS. Fans won't want to miss these new reveals as well a chance to snap a photo with KRE-O character statues including TRANSFORMERS BUMBLEBEE, a BATTLESHIP ALIEN and STAR TREK CAPTAIN KIRK all in their unique KREON expressions! Fans will also want to get their hands on a special edition KRE-O BATTLESHIP BATTLE-BOAT building set sample pack which will be distributed at various times throughout the show while supplies last. Read the entire Press Release for Panel Times and Show Exclusives, after the jump. Tune in with TFW2005 for the best Transformers SDCC 2012 coverage around. |
