Good news Rescue Bots fans! Shout! Factory and Hasbro have added Transformers Rescue Bots to their ever-growing pool of TV shows that Shout! is licensed to produce DVD sets for. Full details are currently unconfirmed as per the report from TV Shows on DVD, but odds are we can look forward to a season box set at some point in the future as has been the case with Shout!'s other Transformers DVD offerings.

The Larry King interview of Peter Cullen was tonight at SDCC. The event was a fun time for everyone in attendance, getting a look inside the mind of one of this generation's greatest voice actors.
There will be video, or is, of this event online, so I'll save the recap and let you guys watch yourself later. BUT - our buddy DESTRO got this great shot of the greats. Enjoy! |

By way of Midtown comics we now have the solicitations for the IDW Comics being published in October! October seems to be an unofficial Orion Pax month, with the Autobot formerly known as Optimus Prime figuring into the plot of both More than Meets the Eye and Robots in Disguise. Plus we have Regeneration 1 #84 coming - carrying on the epic saga of Generation 1 from the 1980s! - and trades of Transformers Classics Volume 4 and More than Meets the Eye Volume 2.
Read on for the full solicitation details. |

Just a reminder on the back of our last story about upcoming episodes of Transformers Rescue Bots that there is also a brand new episode airing on The Hub in about half an hour! At 12:30pm ET tune in to get Squilshed! Today's episode is titled You've been Squilshed, and we're not entirely sure what that entails but as this is the show that gave us the flying lobsters aka the Flobsters, anything is possible! Tune in and enjoy!

Live from SDCC TFW2005 brings you a high resolution, in hand, gallery of San Diego Comic Con 2012 Exclusive G1 Colors Fall of Cybertron Bruticus!
We didn't get every angle, and it may even be a bit mistransformed at times, but there are some cool shots that give you a better feel for the toy and what to expect. I'm not big into reviews or getting super technical, as I think pictures speak louder than words. Overall, the figure is a bit lighter than I am used to. The figures move in a bunch of different ways to allow for the various transformations into limbs etc. This gives it a bit of a loose feel, and at times I felt like I was going to break it. However, once this was in hand, and transformed a bit differently than stock photos so far, the largeness of Bruticus really shines and overcomes those issues. Overall I was on the fence pre-buy, grabbed it because I felt like I had to, and now am happy I did. You guys will have to decide for yourselves though. Enjoy the pics after the break. Later! |

Here's something that slipped through the cracks. We received a press release a few days ago from Mimoco about their GI Joe Mimobots and Transformers Mimobots! If you wanted GI Joe and Transformers styled USB sticks Mimoco has come to the rescue.
Mimoco and Hasbro Announce G.I. JOEX MIMOBOT® and TRANSFORMERS X MIMOBOT USB Flash Drive Collections at Comic-Con™ International Featuring SNAKE EYES, COBRA COMMANDER, STORM SHADOW, BUMBLEBEE, and STARSCREAM in up to 64GBs of memory! Mimoco (www.mimoco.com), creator of the MIMOBOT® line of designer USB flash drives and MIMOMICRO® card readers, under license from Hasbro, Inc., is introducing new G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS character-based MIMOBOT flash drives at Comic-Con International. These releases are Mimoco's second collection featuring Hasbro franchises in MIMOBOT® flash drive form and function. The collection includes retro designs of popular G.I. JOE characters in MIMOBOT's stylized appearance including SNAKE EYES, COBRA COMMANDER, and STORM SHADOW. The TRANSFORMERS line features retro BUMBLEBEE and STARSCREAM character designs. Each G.I. JOE X MIMOBOT and TRANSFORMERS x MIMOBOT designer USB flash drive comes in a range of up to 64GB of memory capacity and comes preloaded with exciting bonus media. G.I. JOE includes amazing old school content like digital issues of the 1980's comic books, episodes of the original animated series, classic G.I. JOE PSA's, alongside bonus Mimory™ & mimoDesk™ suites of G.I. JOE screensavers, avatars, and wallpapers. TRANSFORMERS x MIMOBOT Series 2 also features Mimory™ & mimoDesk™ content and both series include mimoByte™ sound software that plays whenever a G.I. JOE or TRANSFORMERS X MIMOBOT is plugged into your computer! "We've been working with Hasbro on this particular set of 80's re-imagination for some time and we hope others respond to its 'Rad Factor' as much as we do. The power of the 80s just can't be denied... this one amazing era produced so much that still thrives today...and right at the top of the list for us are G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS," says Mimoco's Director of Media & Licensing, Scott Seraydarian. "But in spite of all the reboots that have been coming out recently, we felt that the 80's classics still weren't getting the love they so richly deserve. Following Mimoco's core philosophy of "Refresh your Memory", we set out to change that. "Refreshing Your Memory" is the collision of what's known and what's new... something familiar, yet fresh. These traits are embodied perfectly in this series." Read more about the MIMOBOT x GI JOE and MIMOBOT x TRANSFORMERS USB sticks, and check out our all new images of the Mimobots on display at San Diego Comic Con 2012 after the jump! |
