The Official Transformers Collectors' Club has updated their website with a sneak peek at issue #49 of their magazine. The sneak peek includes a "More Than Meets The Eye" style profile for "Hero" Optimus Prime with art by Dan Khanna. Check out the bio from the Club's site below:
In his home universe, "Hero" Optimus Prime was the sworn protector of Earth and its super energy source, forestonite. Along with fellow Autobots Electro and Volt, and the human boy Junpei, the Autobot Leader was able to repel Megatron and the Decepticons' attack. Although Megatron promised he would return to conquer not just the Earth but the entirety of the Milky Way galaxy, Prime stood vigilant, ready to thwart him at every turn! Following the theft of the Rarefied Energon from the Classics Universe, chaos spread and soon found its way across the multiverse, threatening existence everywhere. Optimus Prime was selected by certain members of TransTech to leave his universe and travel to Axiom Nexus to be inducted into the newly formed group known as The Convoy - a collective of high-ranking Autobots from across the multiverse. |

Next up is the other new release from the next assortment of Transformers Fall of Cybertron Voyagers, Blaster (and his cassette turned data-disk companion Steeljaw)! Fall of Cybertron Blaster is one of the more extensive remolds that comes along every so often, featuring a new head, a new chest, a different gun and even new wheels which together with his brighter colors sets him apart from Soundwave / Soundblaster and gives him an identity all of his own. It's just as well, because Blaster deserves to be more than a mere copy of Soundwave (sorry Universe 2.0). What is great though is Blaster really takes the mold and runs with it. While Soundwave being bigger than his fellow Decepticons was a nuisance, it is less of an issue for Blaster, because Blaster was always a big guy among the Autobots.
Blaster's other blessing is that like a few Fall of Cybertron releases, he can work with the Classics series characters as a Classics version of Blaster, if you are so inclined. Your mileage will of course vary on how much the obviously Cybertronian look fits in with more Earthly alternate forms, but in robot mode he fits in nicely with characters like Perceptor. There's not a lot to say about Blaster's diskbot partner Steeljaw. He's a pretty extensively reworked version of Ravage, but I found on mine the strong springs meant he never quite stood as flat as I would have liked. Ravage of course had his good and bad points and these carry over to Steeljaw. Regardless though, it is good to see Steeljaw included with Blaster, because just like Soundwave needs Laserbeak, Blaster needs his little partner bot too. Open the link below to check out the full gallery of Blaster: Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron Blaster with Steeljaw Gallery |

Time to get a good, a very good look at Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters Voyager Class Optimus Prime.
Thanks to 78dm.net, we now have an up-close look at the Autobot Leader. The new images finally put an end to "whether we are seeing a Faceplate or a Mouth?" debate. However, on-package CGI render of Beast Hunters Optimus Prime possibly indicate a new CGI face model for the show. But, we'll have to wait and see to confirm. A size comparison with the Powerizer Optimus Prime indicate that this new Voyager mold is much larger than the previous. We've mirrored the images for your viewing pleasure. Take a look at this fantastic Pictorial Review, after the jump. |

Every year, the 1st quarter brings joy for toy collectors worldwide. There's a very good reason for this; Toy Fairs are happening all over the world.
One of the earliest fairs is the UK Toy Fair and this year it's no exception. UK Toy Fair 2013 is just around the corner, held from 22nd to 24th January at the Olympia Grand Hall, London. UK toy companies are busy these days, posting articles and newspaper advertisements to promote their products showcasing at the upcoming event. Hasbro UK is doing it too. TFW2005 found two small articles dedicated what to expect at the UK Toy Fair. They feature possible Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters European Toyline Release Schedules. Of course these are vague statements to promote the upcoming line and may vary. Also, Hasbro UK is the main distributor for our German fans as well. They didn't forget to mention when Germany can expect to see the Beast Hunters line. Regarding UK Toy Fair 2013: "Transformers: Prime Beast Hunters will be the touchstone for the award winning animated series from Hasbro Studios, with new action figures due to roll out in Spring 2013." A similar statement was also made for Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg 2013: "Transformers: Prime Beast Hunters will be the touchstone for the award winning animated series from Hasbro Studios, as new action figures will be launched in June 2013." If you come across such advertisements and articles, feel free to share with us. Stick with TFW2005 for more info on UK Toy Fair 2013 and Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters Toyline as we get them. |

Once again, thanks to bbs.78dm.net we have another extensive gallery of the other Beast Hunters Wave 1 voyager, Predaking! This black, orange and silver dragon of death is shown here in both of his modes, with his twin dragon launchers and swords at the ready, and in package photos. Also shown is just how poseable this figure is in his beast mode. Predaking's dragon mode can be posed on all fours, on his hind legs and if you prefer him flying, you can have all four limbs at his side. It's quite remarkable looking.

Our good friends friends from down under at Ozformers has posted a picture from the latest issue of Toy Hobby Retailer Magazine. Along with several brands from Hasbro on the cover is a new image promoting Transformers Generations and the image is a Generation 1 Optimus Prime with a Targetmaster-type weapon! The weapon has wheels and appears to have a blue truck cab. Could the 2013 Generations line possibly see a have a gimmick of convertible weapons like the Powercore Combiners or Arms Micron figures?
It's all very interesting, and hopefully, we'll find out more info next month at Toyfair 2013. For now, click the title bar and speculate away at the possibilities this could hold! |

Hasbro studios has announced a deal with Malaysia’s leading studio, Vision Animation, and Australia’s Moody Street Kids to produce the 26 episode second season of Transformers Rescue Bots. Rescue Bots in this way follows in the footsteps of Transformers Prime with the shared production deal with Malaysia.
Of interest in this release is that it mentions pre-production will begin immediately, but that the delivery will be expected in 2014. This seems to run contrary to the report that Transformers Rescue Bots is already recording its second season, but time will tell what the reality of the situation is. 2005 Boards member uranusdd has shared with us some very nice, clear, high-resolution photos of the recently released Takara-Tomy Encore 20A Devastator Animation version. The great thing about these photos is they give us side-by-side comparisons of each Constructicon letting us appreciate all the little changes, like the lighter shades of green and purple, that went into this release to maximize the show accuracy alongside the more obvious ones like the new head for the combined mode. Read on to check out the gallery.

A profile page for Eric Rogers at the AOD 2013 site has listed a rather interesting title that Rogers is credited with writing; Transformers The Battle For Kreotron!
Eric Rogers is a television and film writer whose produced credits include Futurama, Tranformers: The Battle For Kreotron, Teen Titans Go!, Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil and NYPD Blue. He also writes for Matt Groening's Bongo Comics Group, having scripted over 30 published stories for Futurama Comics, The Simpsons Comics, and Bart Simpson Comics. He is a 2011 Writers Guild of America nominee for Outstanding Animation Script for his work on Futurama, he once appeared on Rock & Roll Jeopardy, and his first paying job was playing the role of "Friedrich" in a dinner theater production of "The Sound Of Music". Yes, that is all true. TV special? Video game? What is Kreotron?.... |

Via this thread over on ACToys we can share this nice little selection of pictures of Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Bulkhead and Optimus Prime with you. Optimus Prime is his new, bigger, brawnier mold, while Bulkhead is an extensive remold, replacing pretty much every panel of his vehicle mode with new armor. Of interest also is that it is evident now that the light-piped "Energon glow" gimmick - used with the light up element of the larger vehicle sets - has been removed from the design.
Open the link above and check out the images for a sneak peak of these two upcoming toys. |

Thanks to Snakas blog, we have a scan of another new Beast Hunters Cyberverse figure! This time, it's Soundwave, who will presumably be a part of Cyberverse Legion Wave 2. This figure is looking pretty sharp in vehicle and robot mode, but time will tell if he'll be in his traditional color scheme or if he'll be the same color as the Beast Hunters deluxe figure
