It is unclear what characters these are meant to represent, given the nature of the link between BeCool and the Transformers franchise in Japan.

As representatives of the new faction, Predaking and Lazerback represent two good new releases. They set a strong precedent for the new faction and they bring back a lot of elements from the Beast era of Transformers toys, while mixing in some clever engineering tricks at the same time. While there's a certain amount of "animal limbs become robot limbs" and claw-hands in there, they are both nicely poseable toys, lots of great detail and they're also very slightly bigger than recent releases in their respective size classes. Overall both are worth picking up, particularly if you like monster / dragon Transformers.
