A Toy Commercial for the Transformers: Lost Age Movie Advanced Line has made its way to You Tube. The commercial runs for a whopping 5 minutes and is in Japanese. The toys interact with each other using Stop Motion Animation in a Diorama landscape. The commercial is presented like a story and gives us a good walk through the memory lane as the narrator presents the toys from previous Transformers movies leading up to the present movie; Transformers: Age Of Extinction.

Jagex have posted their first "Under the Hood" behind the scenes video for the Transformers Universe MOTA game, showing off a behind the scenes look at the game and answering some commonly asked fan questions - other vehicle types like hovercrafts and aircraft are planned for a future, post launch update. They also explain a little more about customisation options for your characters in-game along with some information on different game modes, including the Elimination team deathmatch mode, Meteor Storm which sounds like a Capture the Flag style gameplay with the twist being the flags are resource hubs, and also Outerbase missions and Crisis team missions. The video is capped with some more information on the Founder's program and a chance to win a sweet Transformers Universe jacket. Check out the video below:

2005 Boards member GabrielPrime is bringing us a Promotional Campaign for the GAC Trumpchi E-Jet featuring a possible plot tie-in with Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
The video provided seems to be linked with the scenes filmed with actress Li Bingbing. So naturally, those who are highly sensitive to spoilers are advised now. GAC has also updated their Official Website with their vehicles in Robot Mode (similar to the Chevy campaign). |

Thanks to the Facebook page of Transformers Columbia we have our first images of the Dinobot Slog in-package as well as our first images of the Voyager Drift mold that has been rumored. Because the alt-mode choice of Drift here (and subsequent mold choice) can be considered movie spoilers, please only view the images if you want nothing spoiled for you! If you don't mind being spoiled slightly, Drift is in his helicopter mode, which will be using the Dark of the Moon Skyhammer mold (does this mean the Cyclonus rumor has a chance?).
Check out the images after the jump and let TFW know if you're digging these reveals! |

We have received some new scans from Figure King which show off some cool new stuff coming out in Japan. There is another entry in the list of "weird and wonderful things Optimus Prime can turn into" with a Bearbrick x Transformers crossover, which features a version of Optimus Prime transforming into the iconic Bearbrick figure. It is only an unpainted resin prototype at this stage, so no word on whether the Bearbrick mode might have some special Transformers themed deco.
There are also some images showcasing the latest on Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, who features an alternate shouting face (or maybe it's an "Open, dammit, open!" face). The Spike and Daniel figures are also shown in prototype form, and what little we can see suggests they are both based on their Season 3 silver jumpsuits. There is also a callout showing the Tokyo Toy Show version of Masterpiece Streak. He is based on the original Generation 1 toy, so he's a full silver Datsun without the black roof. He also seems to be set to include the Amazon launchers, which have been recolored to have red bases on the launchers, rather than black. There is also a look at a D-Arts Optimus Prime, and some of the new licensed product from Artstorm including the EX Gokin Optimus Prime and Grimlock. A big thanks goes to 2005 Boards member Type-R for sharing this with us. |

According to Alberta Film Ratings, there's a new trailer coming for Transformers 4 Age of Extinction.
It is labeled as the ''fourth trailer'' but techically, it's the third one if you count the Superbowl TV spot. It is rated PG and has the running time of 1:38 minutes. We don't know much about it, but with the recent TV spot reveals, there's a strong chance that we may see it this week. We'll keep you updated as we get more information. |

The Movie series Custom Kreons Wave 1 - which includes Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Drift and Lockdown have been sighted at Toys R Us stores in Frederick, MD and the SF Bay area in California.
That is not all though, because the Wave 5 Kreon Blind Bags (or if you prefer, Movie Wave 1) have also been spotted in the SF Bay area in California. This latest set of 12 Kreons adds the likes of Wingspan, Misfire, Mindwipe, Nightbeat, Trypticon, Highbrow, and Skrapnel into the mix. The Pop Vinyl Transformers by Funko - consisting of cute SD versions of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Drift - have been sighted at TRU in California and have also appeared at retail in Massachusetts. A big thanks to JukeOutlander and korean_taco for the heads up on these releases.

As we were told, the Transformers: Age Of Extinction footage shown in Sydney yesterday came from the Cinemacon footage which was revealed by some journalists at that time. But, it's one thing to hear a footage description from the press and an entirely different thing to hear it from a perspective of a fan.
2005 Boards Member JonnyBoy is sharing what he saw via his company blog. Now, of all the footage descriptions we've read so far… this is the most detailed of them all and contains major spoilers. Furthermore, our member is answering questions based on the footage he saw, at the thread associated with this news post. Spoilers! You are warned. |

Remember the first confirmation we received of the Transformers and Evangelion Crossover? Many fans speculated the Optimus Prime art we saw in the Dengeki Hobby Magazine image could indeed be a new Masterpiece Optimus Prime repaint. Well, breaking news folks, a new MP-10 Convoy is on it's way with trailer, accessories, and all!
Thanks to TFW2005 boards member Hate-triot we have two new scans showing off the new "Eva Mode" deco, trailer, and accessories (which appear to include all accessories from the original release of MP-10). Check out the images for yourself after the jump and sound off! Edit- More details from the scans: Release date: November Price: 25,000yen (~$245 USD) Pre-order opens: 12 June |

Did you know, Transformers fans, that today marks another 30th anniversary milestone in the history of Transformers? Yes indeed, today is the 30th anniversary of what is thought to be the first ever post about Transformers on the internet - or rather, the proto-internet Usenet groups.
You can check out the archived post here, via Google Groups. Sadly the first post ever about Transformers on the internet was in fact, complaining about Transformers! The post, a review of Marvel Comics' Transformers #1, picks fault with Bill Mantlo's plot and Ralph Macchio's script, and the massive amount of infodumping used to introduce the characters - valid complaints, particularly the infodumping (check out an example at left). The final verdict? My vote for worst comic of the year would have to go to Marvel's TRANSFORMERS #1. Has anyone out there seen it? I'm still trying to figure out why I wanted to spend $.75 on it in the first place, but any reason I may have had was inadequate. Or, to borrow a turn of phrase from the TFwiki: "The Transformers launched in 1984 and was ruined FOREVER!" In all seriousness, much as the original creative team behind the Transformers in the 1980s could not foresee the huge phenomenon that Transformers would become, neither could those reading that first comic and sharing their thoughts about its humble beginnings begin to imagine where it all might finally lead to, 30 years later, with fans ever ready to lend a similarly critical eye to all new Transformers media. Here's to 30 years of talk about the Transformers on the internet! None of this - this website, our fan community, and indeed even many of the fan-oriented releases from Hasbro - would exist without you coming together and discussing Transformers - and like the Transformers franchise itself, it all came from a humble beginning, 30 years ago this day. |
