Thanks to TFW2005 member Nevermore for sharing with us the first full picture of Combiner Wars Optimus Maximus taken from Daim Choc's Facebook page. Until now we had seen pictures that showed partial views of the Autobot gestalt, but we had never seen a full glimpse of Optimus Maximus.
Let us know what you think of his full appearance on the boards! |

Every Thursday we brought you the latest Transformers: Legends Mobile Game Event News from DeNA. Today we are announcing the closure of the game.
DeNA stated : Hey TRANSFORMERS Legends fans, It is with heavy hearts that we must announce some bad news today. We will be retiring TRANSFORMERS: Legends on September 30th, 2015 We’ve worked very hard to keep TRANSFORMERS: Legends for our loyal playerbase for as long as we possibly could, but unfortunately there isn’t anything else we can do to keep things going. With that being said, we’ve decided to give our players the keys to the kingdom during the last few months of TRANSFORMERS: Legends lifespan. Starting June 25th:
We know how hard it is to watch a game you love sunset, but if you’re looking for more TRANSFORMERS action, we hope you’ll download TRANSFORMERS BATTLETACTICS ,”where you can build a dream team of AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS, and go head-to-head against players from around the world in strategic PvP based combat” 2005 Board Members speculated that the game is coming to an end by analyzing the situation that went on for many months. However, we do not have the exact reasons for the Sunset. Currently, the mobile app market has more than 6 Transformers related games and another one by Backflip Studios on the horizon. The recent popularity of DeNA's own Transformers: Battle Tactics and the rising of the Transformers: Rising may have also played their part in the discontinuation of Transformers: Legends. |

If you are attending Botcon 2015, you may want to check out this print that artist Matt Frank will be offering at his table in Artist's Alley. This print depicts the monstrous Decepticon leader from the Transformers Victory series, Deathsaurus. The robot mode is shown to the front of the print, while in the background, Deathsaurus is shown in full kaiju alternate mode doing what kaiju do best - destroying cities! Line art is by Matt Frank, who is also working on this year's Botcon comic, and colors are by the talented Mr Josh Perez!

Via E-Hobby, we have some clearer images of the unpainted, grey-and-white prototypes of the next three Transformers Legends releases, Nightbird Shadow (an Arcee remold), Slipstream (remolded from Windblade), and Blackarachnia (a clever remold of Animated Blackarachnia). The new images give us a good look at what has been remolded on all three figures, and all three have substantially different looks than their originals.

Thanks to snakas.blog95, it appears we have our very first look at another Transformers focused SDCC exclusive, this time being the 1985 cast of Transformers Kreons.
You may recall last year there was the 1984 cast exclusive set, so it only makes sense Hasbro would continue the exclusives with the 1985 cast of characters. We've mirrored images of which characters are included, so make the jump to see what you're going to be in the hunt for! |

We've seen a bit of news on the Generations Batallion series prior, but up until this point in-hand images were sparse. Thanks to TFW2005 boards member Joey_Santana, we've got a great set of images showing off Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Starscream from this toy line.
Essentially being big, upscaled Legends Class figures, these toys are about the size of a modern day Voyager class figure (comparison shot with Combiner Wars Optimus Prime included). The articulation is very basic on all three and the plastic quality has been reported as fairly solid. These figures are likely intended by Hasbro to be for the younger audience. Make the jump to see some of the key shots and continue on to the discussion thread for all photos taken of these three. |

Hasbro have sent us some official images of the SDCC2015 exclusive Devastator set. Devastator comes in a special display box, and features metallic chrome elements on his design.
These new images show us the SDCC decos of the six individual Constructicons in both of their modes: Bonecrusher, Mixmaster, Scrapper, Scavenger, Long Haul and Hook. There are also some images of the box to admire. After the break, we also have information from a Hasbro release including the price ($179.99, this toy will also devastate your wallet!) (For those wondering, the Combiner Hunters set of three femmebots will run for $74.99 at the Con) |

Great news for our readers in Australia! It looks like MP-12 Lambor will be getting released there. GoktimusPrime of Ozformers shared the news there. He assisted in the translation for the release. Right now, they don't have any further info on price or the production run numbers.
EDIT: A post by Griffin-of-Oz shares this info: From what I can tell, this would be an Asia/Hong Kong reissue of the Japanese Sideswipe... I can't see any sign of it being a Japanese reissue that has filtered into the Hasbro Asia market (and then through to us in Australia). Hasbro Asia have been known to have their own "exclusive" reissues of Japanese Transformers, but it can confuse people who might look for this "Japanese" Transformers toy online to compare prices and then can't find it listed at Japanese online stores. It is listed as being a September release in Asia, so should show up in Australia at around October. |
