Beast Wars Season One, the upcoming release from Shout! Factory, has had its release date moved up to June 7th according to Amazon.com and TVShowsOnDVD.com.

That's great news for Beast Wars fans! The original release date was set as June 14th. So once you're home from this year's BotCon, you can continue to get your nerd on and watch the fan-adored Beast Wars series. Well, the first season of it anyways.

While you all wait for the Botcon registration to come online (the word is "in a few short days - should I just say soon "), Botcon have uploaded the brochure for this year's convention. There are details on some of the events over the weekend including a casino night and trips to Six Flags and Universal Studios. The Hall of Fame is also confirmed to be returning and a vote will be going online soon for the character to be inducted at Transformers.com.

Check out the Botcon 2011 Convention Brochure at the official Botcon homepage.

Board member Deceptigtar shares with us a pictorial review for the upcoming Dark of the Moon Laserbeak figure:

So some may like this and some may not. It is definitely different. But I have enjoyed playing with this little guy and look at that cute little face of terror!

From early pictures a lot have already written off this "Shelf-warmer" but going back and looking at stills from the trailer, which you can see on the side of his head the eyes bulging out as well as stills from the new game with his huge red eyes.

Laserbeak, unlike his buddy Ravage this time around has a more, legitimate alt. mode. His alt. mode is a helicopter type hovering craft, sorry don't know the technical term but some have linked him to a similar GI Joe vehicle.

Two Trading Card Games form Enterplay and Takara are hitting shelves as Transformers: Dark of the Moon release date is getting closer and closer.

Enterplay acquired the license from Hasbro to manufacture Trading Cards from the upcoming 3rd Transformers Movie by Michael Bay.

Takara are also producing a Trading Card game of their own and details can be seen at Takara Transformers 3 Website.

Also, other merchandise relating to Transformers Movie Series are arriving and you can take a look at them thanks to TFW2005 Member Voiceroy contributing at our "The Official Transformers Merchandise (Non-Toy) Sightings Thread".

As more and more Transformers related stuff appears, you are invited to share your findings with fellow members.

Continue-on to take a look at the DOTM stuff found at retail these days.

Transformers Toy Reviewer Peaugh is sharing with us the Cyberverse Action Set Optimus Prime and Megatron Bios. It is unsure how the descriptions will play-out in the third installment of the Michael Bay movie series; Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Optimus Prime
“Optimus Prime turns his Armored Weapons Platform when his Energon Blades can’t quite cut it. The strike base is equipped with weapons far more powerful than the handheld variety he usually wields. The Armored Weapons Platform also converts to a mechanical exosuit if mobility enhancement is required. Decepticon foes beware – Optimus Prime has become even more powerful.”

Megatron
“Few Autobots have ever seriously challenged Megatron and his fusion cannon. Far fewer will dare challenge him when the Blastwave Weapons Base is deployed. This powerful piece of weaponry is equipped with the latest generation Decepticon particle blasters and multiple missile pods. The base’s jet mode allows Megatron to swoop from battle to battle, leaving Autobot scrap in his wake.”

BotCon 2011 registration is now online and active. Granted, we use the phrase "online" loosely - most users will find it painful to register for the convention due to extreme server overload issues (though we know things smooth themselves out within a few hours). Or it's time to dust off those fax machines!

Either way, head on over to the BotCon website and crash the Internet like true Transformers fans!

Botcon 2011. Registration now open.

That's the big news which is technically part of the new week, but writing this (and editing the timecode to keep Kickback's news post up top) this is the big news you're all waiting for, so don't delay, hop to it today!

The last week has hardly been slow for Transformers news, with some truly bizarre new offerings which we assume are going to be in the Dark of the Moon line - some strange, half-transparent Autobots and a truly unique deco of Hunt for the Decepticons Sidearm Sideswipe among the more interesting new reveals. On top of that, the inevitable Thundercracker recolor of Dark of the Moon Starscream! All this, a Transformers Prime online game, and vindication - Airachnid is for real!

The British Board of Film Classification has rated the next trailer for Transformers Dark of the Moon - and made a bit of a gaff in the process. The page title is right, but apparently we now have Natalie Portman to look forward to! Regardless of getting the film's details wrong which we're sure will be corrected in due course, the important part is thus: as of yesterday, 21 March, the next Dark of the Moon trailer has been rated PG, and has a run time of 2:18.

No other information is available, but a nice 2:18 chunk of Transformers 3 goodness is headed our way!

In case you are wondering “what-in-the-name-of-Primus is a Kreon?” then this writer got some explaining to do.

Few days back Hasbro registered a new trademark at the US Patent and Trademark Office, called “Kreon”. Kreons are actually little Lego-Minifigure like figures for Hasbro’s upcoming Kre-O Toyline.

ACToys has posted some images of new Kreons including Ratchet, Soundwave, Thundercracker and Sentinel Prime (All of ‘em G1).

Also, we can see what looks like Kre-O sets for Sentinel Prime and Ratchet (and also possibly for Thundercraker, Soundwave) as well.

Take a look at the images, after the jump.

Transformers: Exiles; the sequel to Transformers: Exodus will release on 27th September, 2011.

“Hey #Transformers fans: the new book will be called EXILES, and it's due out on September 27.” said Mr. Irvine, who previously told us that he is working on the second book. However, he did say that the title will contain the word “Prime”. Hmmm?

BotCon 2011 registration opened yesterday and hundreds of you flocked to sign up and get your toys! To no surprise (to this reporter, at least) the loose set of BotCon 2011 toys are sold out. BotCon sent out an E-mail stating the following:

We are sold out of the loose sets, however, as we go through some of the duplicate invoices, some may come back into inventory as those invoices are deleted. Please do not ask us to hold these for you as we cannot. There are no duplicate invoices with classes on them. Both classes are sold out as well.

In the shadow of darkness there is a silver lining of hope for those of you who missed out on getting the loose set. The E-mail also gives step-by-step instructions on how to register for, or to skip, the Hall of Fame dinner. We are aware of issues though (memberships not showing up valid, time-outs resulting in double charges, etc.) and want to hear how those are turning out for you. Let us know in the discussion thread, linked to the story.

2005 Boards member ChErikS has shared with us some images of some interesting oddities due to come out in the fall. Proof that putting Optimus Prime's face on anything makes it ten times cooler, it's the spiritual successor to the Jazz Peddle Car, the Optimus Prime Ride-On! If that was not enough, there's also an Optimus Prime Wagon, which has a pop up head in the hood, and the truck bed is made to look like Optimus' trailer. Both include soundbites and Peter Cullen voiceclips.

Remember how Botcon 2011's Motormaster in promotional images was disfigured by a big "X" across the face, leading to a photoshop patch up job? Want to see how he really looks? Good news - you can! This ebay auction, from seller Paranooid, shows a couple of in-hand images of the Stunticon ringleader, showcasing the new head in all it's glory. And it looks awesome!

If you want a Motormaster and the rest of the Stunticon Stunt Troop, head on over to the Botcon 2011 homepage and sign up for an Iacon (non attending) package or if you're joining us in Pasadena, go ahead and register for a Primus package!

Nelson; the admin of Michael Bay Official Website answered a question bothering Transformers fans all around the world, “When is the trailer we heard yesterday coming out?”

Many speculated it to come out with Sucker Punch (this Friday 25th March) while some said it’ll happen somewhere May.

Nelson answered everyone by saying… “Trailer will come around mid/late April.”

This means we are seeing some sort of an Easter release unless it’s misinformation.

The next Hasbro Official Transformers Toy Website Transformers: Dark of the Moon update is here.

This week it’s Bumblebee.

On the homepage we do get a nice look at a render of DOTM Bumblebee. This can only mean we’ll see the CGI Renders of following Cybertronians throughout the coming months leading to Transformers 3.

Ratchet (Deluxe Class) - 2011/03/29
Starscream (Deluxe Class) - 2011/04/05
Megatron (Voyager Class) - 2011/04/12
Ironhide (Voyager Class) - 2011/04/19
Sentinel Prime (Leader Class) - 2011/05/03

Less than 100 days to go, folks!
