I don't shop there for a variety of reasons... one of which is that every single one in my old area is 100% picked clean by scalpers. A huge amount of WM stock in NJ ends up in all the LCS at a huge markup (200%+)

This makes toy shopping very, very, very NOT enjoyable. Scalpers used to stand outside my TRU waiting for the doors to open in the wee-hours of the morning. And the LCS prices ain't no better round here either. *sigh* It's almost easier to buy from the good folks here who offer it at a fair price to help a fellow collector out.

Both Walmarts near me have a fairly wide mix of MU waves. No complaints. The more desired figures are usually picked clean, but I've found what I wanted eventually from each wave without having to resort to buying online.

Northern VA area.

Both of my Walmarts carry MU's but one has tons of the various MU Iron Man on the pegs so nothing else comes in. The other get the other waves a few weeks after they hit elsewhere. Once and a while I buy a couple extra of the new figs and take them to the old Walmart to get people to buy from there and trigger a reorder response.

I have two Walmarts within one hour of me. One doesn't carry any MU at all and their entire toy section is sad. The other has had the same few figures on the shelf for the past 4 months with no sign of new waves. The comic packs are even sadder, it has been over 8 months since any new ones. I have started picking one up every other week hoping they will finally restock. Luckily I take frequent road trips and hit up a few Targets in Memphis or Little Rock which seem to be doing a fairly good job of stocking the newer waves.

Each one varies in this area I want to say. I know one of the closer Wal-Marts to my work place doesn't carry Thundercats, Joes, or MU any longer. Yet the Wally by my house still carries those three lines even with the newer stuff. So who knows why it's being handled the way it is.

I live in near 4 walmarts and I can say this

out of them, only 1 has discontinued MU. 2 of them are decent with singles and a spot for comicpacks, and 1 of them has a 8 pegs for MU, a spot for 3packs, and sentinels. so it definently is a case by case basis.

I will say Target is the best place for retail MU

My closest Wal Mart had started back to carrying MU about 3 months ago, they did a reset of the toy dept about two weeks ago and no longer will be carrying MU or Joe's. The funny this is that had just gotten in two cases of the Namor wave in and those are now on clearance. The really bad thing is that all the other Wal Marts in the area are doing the same, so no MU at any Wal Mart in my area.

I think that is a load of crap because they never had more than one case at a time since the line started . So how could they know the selling potential if they never gave it a chance? If they would have offered more from the beginning, then maybe local collectors would have had a reason to go there.
I agree. Hasbro fucked up with all those damn pegwarming Iron Man, Spider Man, Iron Man, Caps, and even more crappy Iron Man figs. The computer just sees stock, don't know what figure is on the shelf. I started noticing this a year and a half back, and those stores clearances out and never restocked. They wont do that shit with Transformers or Star Wars though. I guess if your store stopped they had a problem with pegwarmers.

I live in the middle of 2 Wal-Marts, the other stocks and moves fairly decent. Just late with restocking. And I have also seen regular priced toys in the clearance isle.

That seems to be very common. I don't understand why they take what clearly won't sell for full price, and shove it in with clearance items as if they think some dumbass is going to bring it up to the register, find out its not on sale, and buy it anyway. Finding clearanced stuff sucks here now, I haven't seen jack shit.

If it's marked, walmart has to sell it to you for the tag price. it's awesome

Marked on the figure or in the area the figure is found? This logic might work occasionally, but you would have to spend a great deal of your time trying to argue with people who don't care whether you buy something or not.
